I've got a plant in my room that's struggling to survive, so I need some tips on how to keep it from dying completely. [ There's a bit of a grin in his voice when he says, ] And yes, I know I need to water it daily.

[ There's a very long stretch of silence - closing in on about eight minutes, actually - after Mason first sets up the filter. He's not entirely sure he wants to go through with this but he knows that there's a very high chance of him getting out and hurting someone. Maybe if he warns people - the right people - he'll be able to try to prevent it from happening. Not that he's expecting anyone to risk their life in order to keep him locked up someplace, but they'll be aware of it and, if absolutely necessary, could figure out some way to put him down before he does any sort of damage. ]

[ He only sounds mildly uncomfortable with talking about this, which is a hell of an accomplishment considering how he feels completely exposed right now. ]

[ There's another pause, this one shorter, before he ends the feed. ]

[ Damn. ] I'm out. The ship didn't bother giving me any in my locker last jump, either. [ Take a wild guess as to why that might matter right at this very moment, Remus. ]

Yes, but-- I mean, if you're changing, I don't see how it might help either way. I changed last night-- Sirius and I can help set up spells to keep you contained to your room.

If I drink enough of it, it kind of works like a sedative. [ Which he told the other version of you once before, Remus. :c Why so young now? ] How well do they work?

Well enough-- although admittedly I always end up tearing myself up, frantic at being trapped. But better myself than anyone else.

[He takes note of that remedy, though-- although there's no point in worrying about it now if they haven't any wolfsbane at all.]

[ Mason's got plenty experience with trying to tear himself up. Even if the room he's in isn't protected like that, he chains himself up, which is almost worse. ] What does "well enough" mean?

It means it holds me in-- but I'm younger than you are, and I don't know if you're more powerful than I am when I'm transformed.

Age doesn't really have anything to do with that. [ At least not that he's aware of. ] But let's say it does. What happens if the spells don't hold and I get lose?

[He pulls a face.]

Then you're loose on the ship. I could try to, to Stun you-- I could stand nearby all night-- but if you break free, you're free.

[ He doesn't like running the risk of that but with both Anna and Castiel gone, Mason only has so many options. Not that he particularly trusted them with keeping people safe from him, but the idea of them knocking him out sounded a hell of a lot better than a spell that may or may not hold him in. ]

You sure you wanna do this?

[He takes a deep breath.]

Of course. I'll ask Sirius to help me with the spells, at least-- better two than one. And if you break free-- well. It's not as if there's a risk of you infecting me.

[ No, there's just the risk that he'll tear you - and possibly others - to pieces. ]

He'll agree. I mean, I will, but-- he will.

[He bites at his bottom lip.]

How many hours until you change?

They won't let you stick it in the gardens for a couple of days to see if a change of scenery would help? I'm not much of a gardener, but I'm assuming that the lack of decent sunlight might be a problem.

I'd still appreciate the head's up.

About ten or so, maybe a little longer.

I wasn't wanting to add more to the oxygen garden if I could help it. We get too much stuff in there, we run the risk of stuff getting messed up. [ And now that Klaus is on board, Mason's not entirely sure he wants to leave something this important in a public area. Not that he particularly trusts other passengers more than Klaus, but Klaus would probably know what it is just by the look of it. ]

Well, ignore me then. I haven't actually been to the garden yet, so I'm talking out of my ass.

[She laughs, completely clueless at how important this plant is to Mason. Or the fact that werewolves and vampires and people who are a mix of both exist.]

What kind of plant is it, anyway?

Nah, it's fine. I actually considered it when I first decided to plant it, but with new people coming on board all the time and the stuff we've already got in there... [ Like cows and chickens.

Now he's wondering what would happen if one of the animals ate some of the wolfsbane. Or would they just avoid it?

He really hates that question, too. ] It's just a fern. I know, I know; what's a guy that knows nothing about taking care of plants doing with a fern of all things? But we have to take comfort in what we can up here, right?

Dinosaur? [ He hasn't heard about that one. He chuckles a little, though, at that last bit. ] Glad to know someone out there understands where I'm coming from.

Apparently, there's really a dinosaur in there. That's where they all went. They didn't go extinct. They just moved off Earth onto a spaceship.

[She's a little too afraid to check it out on her own.]
