[ So. There's a door. There's a door that appears to be open, though it's a bit crooked, and there's a rather large dent in it.

There's also John Grimm, standing there and looking vaguely sheepish, and looking much more noticeably like he just rolled out of bed. ]

Yeah, I'm fine. Little bit tired, but that's about it. [ And that's not unusual, either. ]

Good. [ She still wants to know what happened, but if he's alright, that's all that really matters. ] Do you still need help?

No one seems to know who is supposed to be fixing doors around here.

If I had to guess why that is, I'd say it's because the doors don't break too often.

Yeah, that would make sense. Still, you'd think other shit would have to be repaired.

...you know, I actually don't recall ever hearing about things breaking. I've only been here three months, but you'd think something would've fallen apart in that time.

I think things were already broken, but yeah, I don't think I have either. Could just be that people've kept it quiet.

[ She laughs a little and nods in agreement at that first part. ] I'd rather them speak up about that instead of tossing threats around on the network.

Yeah, same. Think people are stressing themselves out waiting for something to happen at this point.

Can you blame them? This place feels like a ticking time bomb more often than not. Add that onto claustrophobia, despite how big this place is, and everyone's bound to be on edge. [ When there's no windows in sight, even the calmest people will likely end up having issues with feeling trapped eventually. ]

No, I can't. Especially after last month. It was too quiet. [ It's getting to him. ]

There's something seriously wrong with the world - or ship, in this case - when we start worrying because of how calm things are. [ It was the same way back home, though; always waiting for the next fringe event and worrying when there was too much time in between them. Which was a rare thing, unfortunately. ]

Yeah, well. We know there's shit out there, now.

[ She nods and then, after a few moments, glances towards his door. ] Do you-- [ She already knows he wants help fixing the door and she can't offer that, so she rephrases the question. ] Can I do anything?

[ He wishes he could say yes, even if he might not necessarily say it. But there's not much anyone can do, really. ] Not that I can think of. I can let you know if I think of something, if you'd like.

Sure. [ She smiles a little. ] I wouldn't have asked if I didn't want to actually follow through.

That's what I figured. [ Some people do just to be polite... but he doesn't think Olivia's one of them. Not in this instance, at least. ]

[ She's definitely not, in this instance or others. If she offers something to someone, she's going to do her best to follow through.

She nods once, smiling widening a bit, and then ends the feed so he can get back to trying to find someone to fix the door. Her curiosity's still raging pretty hard, but she'll ask him more about it later. Especially if it happens again. ]
