Hey, I was just wondering how many of those people who came back from Strela are still out of commission.
I don't mean like spaced out or feeling weird, but just plain unresponsive.

Because my bro's pretty much been this way ever since he got back.

I've been keeping a close eye on him. Anyone who's already tried to visit already knows that much.
But if you want to drop by, I guess it's cool now.
I think the jump's coming up soon, so maybe my bro will be back in action by then.

Oh yeah, on a completely unrelated note, I've been wanting to set something up since I found out about my friend being here.
I'm sure you've met Jake over the network or whatever, and I was somewhat indisposed at the time.
And I think the point is that I've wanted to set up a little rendezvous between just you two.
Like, it doesn't have to actually be a date or anything like that.
Just that I'm sure that he'd be ecstatic to meet you in person.

I mean, brains are his thing, right? to be honest, I haven't been reading too far into everyone's experiences here, I had a weird enough time getting through it on my own. as for that offer, it kinda freaked me out, to be honest. I lived with a telepath my whole life, but I stopped letting him read my mind once I was old enough to understand the kind of serious things he could do with his abilities. not for a lack of trust, I just- I dunno. it's kinda scary, mind powers. and I would definitely wait until your friend wakes up before contacting him about it. I *did* meet Jake actually. over the network. he told me he knew me from a comic book. and a movie trilogy. how long were you planning on keeping that a secret, huh?

Yeah. Well, I don't think anyone'd be especially enthralled about the opportunity to read another person's account of the same trip.
And I kinda figured that might be your response.
Which is good because I was planning on waiting up anyway.
Man, I didn't realize Jake was just telling people about the comics and movies and whatever.
I guess I wound up kinda accepting that anything could happen here.

So I guess it's pretty hard to say.
Anyway, I think that maybe Jake was at war with himself.
See, before I wound up here, I'm pretty sure I'd told him that someone like you could only exist in movies or comics or in fiction, you know.
The thing is, he's a pretty gullible guy and has a way of believing the most ridiculous things.
I'd say he needs a little more skepticism to him, but I guess I've become a little more open to the impossible since getting here.
So I'm not really sure about him not thinking you were yourself.
Maybe he was contending with the fact that I told him you couldn't exist outside of fiction.
Whatever. But how about we make that rendezvous happen?

Jake seems pretty sweet? excitable, sure, but it's kinda refreshing. in a way. I dunno. anyway yeah, set something up. we should all hang out, though! I wanna meet you in person sometime too, you know.

He's been alone for pretty much his whole life. [ Just like Dirk! But this is about Jake, so... ]
And in a dangerous place, too.
So I think that sometimes he gets a little confused about how to respond to people. [ Also like Dirk! First time meeting other people! ]
Other than that, I know he's a pretty cool guy.
That's why I'm kinda setting up the deets with him right now.
