[ When the feed comes on, it just shows the side of a thigh covered in black pants and a hip covered in a light grey undershirt. It's not accidental, though, considering the way the woman addresses the comm. ] I just wanted to let you guys know that the welcome party here leaves a lot to be desired.

[ There's movement as Olivia moves to set her now empty plate beside her on the counter. Then she picks up the comm, lifting it so it shows not only her face but part of one of the kitchens. She swallows the last bite of whatever she'd been eating before speaking again. ]

That said, I was wondering if anyone's seen or heard from a Charlie Francis, Lincoln Lee, Philip Broyles or Astrid Farnsworth. If you have, either let me know or point them in my direction so I can talk to them. My name's Olivia Dunham and from what I can tell, messages can be sent to the number that seems to coincide with everything else: zero-zero-seven, zero-thirteen.

If there's anyone else here connected to Fringe Division that I don't know, feel free to speak up, too. [ Not that this really screams fringe event, but you never know. ]

Your Fringe Division is one of its branches, I assume?

Not otherwise known as the Pentagon, actually. That was destroyed in 2001. But yes, it's a branch of the DoD.

It was started in 1985 to deal with the fallout of the Zero Event.

[ There's absolutely no way she's going to turn that down, even if she doesn't know this guy at all. She runs through the list for a moment, then saves it to her comm. ] It gets updated every jump?

That's probably why we didn't get any. Maybe, if somebody's got some, we could blow them up for the next group of people that end up here.

[ There's something--someone behind Olivia. She doesn't clear her throat, doesn't move, she merely waits until the girl turns around. She holds out a jar of peanut butter, obviously attempting to make a sandwich but finding it difficult when she can't get the lid open. ]

[ Olivia usually gets the vibe that someone's nearby, even if they don't make noise, because constantly being alert and aware of your surroundings is part of her job. Today, though, she's a little more focused on other things - like gathering information - so she doesn't realize the girl's behind her until she turns around.

She doesn't jump, though her eyebrows do lift slightly in surprise. ] You didn't-- [ She glances down at the jar and smiles as she reaches out to take it. ] Well, I hope you weren't waiting too long.

[ She goes back to the step-stool she'd positioned, applying the peanut butter liberally in a way that only a 4 year old can. Even if she's not four--in this body, anyway--and when she glances up her smile is light. ]

Fringe Division sounds very professional, miss.

[ As the girl goes about making her sandwich, Olivia moves to lean against the counter top, hands slipping into the pockets of her pants. ]

You can call me Olivia. Or Liv, if you want. And it is pretty professional, but if you're working for an important branch of the government, I guess it would have to be. [ The fact that there's a child on board actually worries Olivia far more than most of the things she's already learned about this place - or is learning - but she manages to keep the concern off her face. ] What's your name?

Isn't it? Worst welcome party I've ever encountered.

[ She nods. ] I guess it makes sense, though. Why go through all the trouble of setting something up if it's not going to help anyone feel better about being kidnapped and trapped on a spaceship, right?

Good point. I don't think any amount of fanfare would make me feel good about this, no matter how many times I've done it.
