It's not accidental, though, considering the way the woman addresses the comm. ] I just wanted to let you guys know that the welcome party here leaves a lot to be desired.

[ There's movement as Olivia moves to set her now empty plate beside her on the counter. Then she picks up the comm, lifting it so it shows not only her face but part of one of the kitchens. She swallows the last bite of whatever she'd been eating before speaking again. ]

That said, I was wondering if anyone's seen or heard from a Charlie Francis, Lincoln Lee, Philip Broyles or Astrid Farnsworth. If you have, either let me know or point them in my direction so I can talk to them. My name's Olivia Dunham and from what I can tell, messages can be sent to the number that seems to coincide with everything else: zero-zero-seven, zero-thirteen.

Fringe Division?

[ Though she's researched the network enough to know that people come from different worlds - different, different, not just mirrors of her own - this is still going to take some getting used to. ]

Have you ever heard of the Department of Defense?

Yes. American. Executive department, otherwise known as the Pentagon. Your Fringe Division is one of its branches, I assume?

Not otherwise known as the Pentagon, actually. That was destroyed in 2001. But yes, it's a branch of the DoD.

It was started in 1985 to deal with the fallout of the Zero Event.

[ He's found it—interesting, so far, to learn of the discrepancies between dimensions. What exists, what doesn't. Back in the day, the Watcher's Council had been informed of other 'secret' divisions that dealt with the—paranormal, but he hasn't heard of this one. Assuming, of course the Zero Event she's speaking about was paranormal in nature. Fringe may well be related to fringe science. ]

Interesting. There was a terrorist attack in 2001, but it still exists today. Can you tell me about the Zero Event?

[ You'd think it was classified information, but considering the state of the world she's from... ]

The Secretary of Defense's son was kidnapped. The way it was done caused a tear in the universe and ever since, new tears have been popping up, causing natural and environmental disasters. Fringe Division was created to keep the tears from getting any worse.

Keeping the balance of the universe in check must be an exhausting job.

[ He knows a little something about that. ]

Rewarding, too, I should imagine.

The rewards make everything else worth it, honestly. I wouldn't be doing it otherwise.

[ The sentiment is almost achingly familiar. ]

[ There's absolutely no way she's going to turn that down, even if she doesn't know this guy at all. She runs through the list for a moment, then saves it to her comm. ] It gets updated every jump?

[ It should only have only the crew numbers listed, but Jarvis has gone through and filled in any names that have been spoken on the network coinciding with a number, so there will be a few blanks, such as for Riddick, Moriarty and Wesley Gibson, etc, etc. Most should be there. ] With the new crew numbers that are available, yes.

[ It's better than nothing. ] And this Spock guy, is he one of the people that brought us here?

[ That it is ] No, he is an abducted passenger, as the rest of us. We are unsure who brought us here, as it stands.

You know, that info is about as enjoyable as waking up covered in goo was.
