i- i know more people knew jenna than elena but they're both dead. near the oxygen garden. so i just- everyone needed to know and now you do.

[ it's short and to the point, if only because ric doesn't entirely trust himself to say much else. it's the same reason he choose text over voice or video. this proclamation is hard enough to get out right now and speaking coherently is a bit beyond his reach. ]

[Stefan comes back to the network with the intent of finding Klaus. Or Damon. Damon. If his brother found out Elena was dead, then he might...

It doesn't matter. He hears her voice, sees her face. Stefan's practically talking before he's hit the button to transmit, not sounding entirely calm.]

Elena, where are you?

[martyrs]

I'm in my room. [ She's looking a little frantic now, holding the comm close like she wants to make sure he sees her, knows she's okay. ] Stefan, I'm fine, I just- I dont' know what's going on?

[sainted]

I don't know. [Stefan exhales, and just stares at his comm for a second, to confirm she's alright.] Everyone's confused for some reason...

[He hasn't been here long enough to know if all of the panicky warnings on the network happen often, but... he knows that's Elena. Katherine wouldn't be trying to play this game with him, not if she knew what was good for her.]
