I've been hearing a lot of talk on the network regarding those who have recently been altered to human bodies.

[ His lips pinch a little - to be honest, John is still having a hard time believing this is all real. ]

This is a real issue, especially concerning robotic, um, persons. I understand that those of you who have been affected are pushing for getting your original bodies back, but until that's possible, if that's possible, you need to be able to take care of the one you're currently inhabiting.

My name is John Watson - I'm a medical doctor with twenty years of experience. I'm offering my help to anyone who needs help getting accustomed to their new bodies. Again, I think this is especially important to those who formally had no need to eat or sleep, and may or may not be aware of the particulars of human hygiene or diet.

Since this is a personal issue, I'm open to making an individual appointment to see you. You can come see me at my flat or I can come to whatever venue you're comfortable with. Just please contact me and we can figure something out together.

There are some cabinets in the medbay that were locked before - I assume to keep civilians from taking what they please. I'm willing to bet there's something there.

If there's is a way to possibly just get a written list of symptoms, signs and other such things, then the whole allowing us to be at anyone's mercy on nothing more then a simple protocol based trust on those who are medics would be preferable. As well as why or if it is normal for these bodies to leak fluids.

There are some people that don't trust doctors, or have had poor experiences with them. If you like, we can do everything over a private video feed. I don't mind that at all - whatever you'd be comfortable with, really.

Although I'd like to point out that you'd be no more at my mercy than you would be anyone else's. I also can't see what I'd have to gain by trying to teach you how to care for yourself, aside from a clearer conscience.

To be honest, I don't think I'm capable of comprising a list that would be accurate enough to explain every gesture needed. Besides, execution isn't always tangent to what one knows. "Easier said than done", yeah?

Really, a lot of the things you'd have to learn are very simple, but they're easier to teach by having you learn by doing.

The year is 2010 where I'm from.

I was awarded my Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from Saint Bartholomew's in London, 1995, after six years of being trained in clinical, medical, and surgical techniques.

I was an army doctor for near on fourteen years, so I've had experience in emergency field surgery as well.

Recently I was working in a clinic in London, mostly dealing with general diagnosis and treatment.

[ These videos are, quite frankly, very clear. It's fairly easy to tell that the red-eyed man hasn't slept quite yet. As it would be for most, HAL's eyes are an oddity to him. He wets his lips unconsciously as he listens to the problem, nodding with understanding. This one is having problems falling asleep? The former AI's got the level sort of voice that could certainly put one to sleep, coincidentally. ]

We call it 'falling asleep', although that's a poor choice and not meant literally, thinking on it.

So far as I know. I've been told there are three physicians aboard the ship, though I've only met one. He was formerly some sort of robotic unit, I believe. I haven't met the third.
