[ Again with a small wall of text, though this time there's no obvious indication that it's meant as an Engineering PSA. It shows up roughly 24 hours after Annie's warning about the strange noises in the corridors. ]

Re: the creepy sounds in the hallways.

Sent a few volunteers out into the darker corridors to record video and audio (cheers Raven, Sirius & Murphy), along with Grumpy and Sneezy.

[ Context would probably be useful on the last two, but either he doesn't think of it or doesn't care enough to add it. ]

Not sure whether this is reassuring or not, but analysis of the recordings didn't find much. The sounds appear to be inanimate/non-biological in origin. Grumpy didn't pick anything up in the way of human voices or otherwise obvious signs of life forms.

The noises are a bit like what you'd get from a house settling, just on a much larger scale. That said, it's probably advised that you don't go wandering off into the dark, as per usual.

The lights coming on don't appear to be related to any movement, either, but more a methodical rebooting of basic systems. Unexpected, but nothing particularly alarming on the Engineering side of things just yet.

Yeah.

You'd have to talk to someone who was here to get specifics, but from what they've recorded of the incident Engineering decided to take a holiday from the laws of physics.

[ And oh right, belatedly. ]

I'm not sure. Communications, probably. They'd pick up on any strange network activity before we would.

And Comms hasn't pointed anything out yet.

Does the ship give Sir Newton the finger often?

Fairly often, yeah.

The last time I went out into the halls, they changed. I thought it was just hallucinations, but hallucinations can't kill you. Usually.

The rooms mimicked familiar scenery. A hellicarrier, for one.

The ship gets into our heads.

[ It isn't meant to be a question, and if Natasha doesn't come across as happy about it, it's because she isn't. ]

This isn't exactly disproving my 'The ship is the Tesseract' theory, you know.

Maybe.

[ It's worth some serious thought, at least, though his experience with the tesseract is secondhand. ]

Or just similar. But it'd make more sense if anyone else had heard of them. People from other worlds, I mean.

And no one has.

[ Because he wouldn't be bringing it up if they had. At least, that he'd heard. ] This is possibly a long shot, but what's the likelihood that this dimension we're in is our own or the dimension of someone else who's been brought here?

Not very, I don't think. There's always the possibility that it's someone's future, but conversations with natives have been a bit

They're purposefully being vague?What possible purpose could that serve except to keep us here.

I'm not so sure they've got control of it.

I mean the ones on the ship have got some control, obviously, just not enough to send us anywhere. We think they put it into stealth to keep the others from catching up. But there's also the theory that they're being mind controlled, or that the team tracking us haven't got any idea what the ship's capable of, etc.

There are a lot of theories. Basically.

All theories and no answers. It's almost like being back home.

Yeah. More than you'd think, actually.

Were you very involved in the thing with Thor? The stuff with the dimensions.

[vdova]

Not directly, but I read the reports.

[technologist]

I think whatever's wrong with the ship is a bit like that. The rifts that were left behind, messing with time and space.

[vdova]

Well. That's exciting.

[ except for the part where it totally isn't!! ]

I was kind of hoping we were done with all that when we sent Loki back to Asgard.

Did anyone tell you Loki was here?

He's gone, now. [ WELL. ] We think.
