Hi, I'm Didi and I work in the Support Department. We do... well, actually, we do a bit of everything. And part of that everything is helping newcomers get settled in. I'm happy to answer any questions you have, but first we have a lot of the basics collected already.

Do you really only have two trained pilots, with all these people on board?

There are a few others who will fly in an emergency but aren't officially in that department but yeah, in terms of official pilots we're down to two. We used to have more, but one of the jumps hit the Flight crew hard. I'm sure the new head of the department would be happy to tell you all about it.

Oh, I'm sure. I'm not certain I'd be of most use there, but I can't help but think I ought to put myself to work somewhere.

Well, the space training sessions are actually videos.

But it sounds like what you really need is the setting on your communicator that reads text messages out loud to you.

It can do that? [Wonder and amazement! We... aren't going to talk about how long the whole 'unlocking' thing took in the first place. Horray for a world where the tech level is nowhere near smartphones and there's no real magical equivalent that most have access to.]
