I know I've already spoken to some of you—I had hoped to do this individually—but it appears we need to move things along more quickly than we'd realized. That ship of yours seems eager to shake us, and we simply can't let that happen. My name is Lina Barnez. The rest of the team and I have been working on contacting the Tranquility for some time. Unfortunately, our tech isn't perfectly compatible with what you're running on. It hasn't been easy, but we're managing. I don't know how long we'll have. We're here to help you, but in order to do that, we'll need you to help us. You've been through a lot on this ship: it's a miracle so many of you are still with us. We'd like to make sure you stay that way, but we can only do that if you're completely honest with us. We know about the events on Strela, the Cyllene and Arima, as well as the Scylla. What happened to those poor people was not your fault, and you have my word that we have no plans to hold you responsible for those events. But we need to work together to make sure it doesn't happen again. The more you tell us about what's been going on aboard the Tranquility, the more we can do.

We have less than an hour before the ship shakes you one way or another. Not enough time to decide if I trust you or to accomplish anything worth a shit.

I need to know how you're getting in touch. What kind of comm tech do you have? What frequencies do you monitor? Where in the universe are you stationed?

My name is Raven Reyes, Engineering. If you tell me what you have, I can build something to put us in touch even after the jump - or at least give you a damn good trail to follow.

We are not stationed in any one place. We're mobile, the same as you. Our current equipment is primarily composed of tracking and field testing materials used to keep up, but we do have monitoring and radar equipment. Unfortunately, the compatibility issues remain: our equipment has advanced far beyond what was installed on the Tranquility. It would be nigh impossible to create a consistently open, two-way communications network. A trail, on the other hand, or a way to help us follow would be quite helpful.

If we leave you a trail, we leave anyone else a trail too.

Which wavelengths do your equipment pick up on? Unless you're telling me you've advanced too far to communicate via EMS.

Considering the distance covered in a single jump, low frequency signals would better function as a honing beacon for our purposes. Should you decide to use one, our equipment should be able to recognize it.
