We haven't seen any sign of it from the shuttlebay.
It's not the first time a ship system has gone haywire. First I've heard of it leaving us dead in the water.
Probably going to involve unpleasantness to fix it.

We'd have to check if we have suits for EVA. Unless you mean a shuttle run.

We can probably scout around outside with one of the shuttles, though that risks damage to something so much smaller. Sending someone outside to actually touch components on the outside of the ship gets trickier, especially with this cloud.

Those sort of sensors are usually up on the bridge. Which we can't get to. It almost ended really badly the last time folk tried.
