[ This missive is from an early-teen with black hair and black shades, as well as a confident bearing and an easy smirk. ]
Hey, guys and gals! Name's Robin, and I work for the Communications department.
Welcome - as per the circumstances - to Tranquility for the new arrivals! For everyone, I know this place is big, confusing, rage-inducing - because most of us would prefer to be back home - and generally not fun. Not to mention scary and sometimes pretty evil.
So, I've been thinking, and - for reasons I can explain, if anyone's curious - this goes for the crowd of sixteen and under.
Y'all interested in a movie night? I can probably temporarily turn one of the holodecks into big-big screen, and I'm sure we can find a movie or three that sound at least a little interesting, from the whole media library.
What do you say?
[ Yeah. Because the sixteen-and-under crowd is not even a little negligible. ]
Oh, and for those of you who come from places that don't have movies, yet, they're sort of moving pictures with sound which tell stories!
So, that's my offer. Robin out.

Re: video;
Mostly? Because we usually get left out of stuff. Sometimes with good reason, I'll grant you, but.
[ Robin shrugs. The real reason is that he thinks that they need a support group, among each other, because adults will... be adults. But the ones he says aren't false, either. ]
Besides, chances are that sixteen-and-under can settle on a movie that won't bore any of us to tears, and, well. Taste in what's interesting kinda changes, with age.

Some worlds are more alike than others. I think in many of them, age is a very different thing. How old are you?
[And, better question--]
What sort of movies do you like?

It's not about specific offenses, though. Back home, we have a team, and having peers you know you can talk to when something bad's happening - it makes a difference, you know? Because adults, for good reason, don't get things the same way that we do.
So I want to give us all a chance to get to know if we can hang out and rely on each other. As peers. That's all.

Or even a fourteen-year-old, for that matter.
But you guys are absolutely welcome to run away with the idea on your own.
[ He just thinks - and not unfounded - that the older teens are likely to be a little more interested in different stuff. He was going to go with fifteen-and-younger, actually, but that would exclude Hanna, and he doesn't want to exclude her, for plenty of reasons. ]

I know it's not exactly anything that I know from home? So it'll be kind of weird. But I think we'll be able to figure something out.

[He's always learning about such exciting new things here.]

Yep! One more thing for you to discover, except it'll be a million things, because there's a lot of movies!
Even if not all of them are very good or fun, they're a fast way to learn. Or to come up with questions from which to learn.

I am in amigo. Who's bringing popcorn? [ There... is popcorn in space... right? ]
video;
Yeah? Awesome! And I was thinking of getting some, but if you're volunteering...
[ Yes, that's a tease. ]
Any preferences for movie type? If movies from back home were a thing, I'd be having everyone watch the Princess Bride to begin with, but since that's not available... we're picking from the local media library.
