Hey, guys and gals! Name's Robin, and I work for the Communications department.

Welcome - as per the circumstances - to Tranquility for the new arrivals! For everyone, I know this place is big, confusing, rage-inducing - because most of us would prefer to be back home - and generally not fun. Not to mention scary and sometimes pretty evil.

So, I've been thinking, and - for reasons I can explain, if anyone's curious - this goes for the crowd of sixteen and under.

Y'all interested in a movie night? I can probably temporarily turn one of the holodecks into big-big screen, and I'm sure we can find a movie or three that sound at least a little interesting, from the whole media library.

What do you say?

Oh, and for those of you who come from places that don't have movies, yet, they're sort of moving pictures with sound which tell stories!

Why are you limiting it to 'sixteen and under'?

Mostly? Because we usually get left out of stuff. Sometimes with good reason, I'll grant you, but.

[ Robin shrugs. The real reason is that he thinks that they need a support group, among each other, because adults will... be adults. But the ones he says aren't false, either. ]

Besides, chances are that sixteen-and-under can settle on a movie that won't bore any of us to tears, and, well. Taste in what's interesting kinda changes, with age.

[That is a fair assessment, and Bran nods, thoughtfully.]

Some worlds are more alike than others. I think in many of them, age is a very different thing. How old are you?

What sort of movies do you like?

Yeah, that's true. Some worlds are very much alike, and some are very different. But still, it'll probably be good to see about hanging out. Is all.

I'm fourteen, and I kinda turned fourteen while here.

[ And Bran probably has some idea that Robin's not been here very long, either, so. ]

And I like ... most. Probably something funny would be best for a first run - to see what's considered funny in this universe, and so we know what might not be really funny for each of us, too. But I'll go with anything.

[ Beat. ]

... though I should give fair warning - any kind of investigative movie is likely to have bad results if I'm watching. I tend to pick those apart, and my teammates back home say it's irksome.

Hanging out-- [And look how successfully he uses slang, because Bran says hanging out with just the smallest careful touch, as if he is nearly certain he is using the term correctly. A few more times and he will have it.] --will be very good.

[When Robb had seen fourteen winters, he was using live steel in the yard to train, even if the blades were dull. A year later and he had grown a beard--and a year later, and he was King of the North. To be a man grown in Westeros is not the same as it is in other worlds. Bran thinks that Robin's world must be much the same.]

Do they make mistakes, in the investigative movies? I do not think that I have watched any of those. Or do you disagree with the way that they investigate? I think watching a movie that is meant to be funny would be a good idea. And one of battle. I know there are no knights in space, but there must be something like knights. That would be good to see.

If you've been under sixteen for many years, can you still come?

[ ... come on, Bran, you probably know better than to suggest that, say, Damian is practicing with something less than real steel. And he might be as good as a king, by sixteen. Maybe. But it's a good point - and also Dick's point. They all need a chance to be kids. ]

Usually, the writers of the movies are, well, writers. They don't know much about actual detective work, so they make many, many mistakes. So I get, uh, irritated.

But, yeah, a battle one can be good. We can totally do two movies, too, if I find two good candidates.

Actually, I haven't, very much, but weren't you the person who was questioning my brother's competence for joining the Security department because he's ten? It's not about specific offenses, though. Back home, we have a team, and having peers you know you can talk to when something bad's happening - it makes a difference, you know? Because adults, for good reason, don't get things the same way that we do. So I want to give us all a chance to get to know if we can hang out and rely on each other. As peers. That's all.

So far, a funny one and a space-fighting one seem to be prime candidates, but I'm still very much open to suggestions.

Yeah. Some people come from different times - gunpowder might be a novelty for some, or cars. I'd rather explain so people don't feel stupid or left out.

You're right about that. And since we *are* stuck, I thought it might be a good idea to let us get a bit of a look at each other. Adults go and mingle at bars, if nothing else, but we've got nothing. If we don't get along, then it's just a flopped movie night. If we do, well. Better stuck together with people who'll have your back, right?

I know my brother does. Back home, there are more people - ones that have been with me at death's door, and sometimes beyond. So, yeah, I kinda do. But you don't have to. Still, knowing who's around should be better than nothing.
