[The video clicks on to show Cora looking really annoyed about the fact it's video. She'd prefer to go text, but if there's the off chance seeing her face will speed this process up, she's going to take it. It's been several hours since the memories started again, and she's already nursing a migraine. If there was one thing she could say she completely hated, these days, it was feeling ill.]

I'm looking for a guy called Sirius. Padfoot.

[Her tone conveys exactly what she thinks of both these names.]

If that isn't enough I've got a head full of waving sticks around and flying on brooms. And motorcycles. Hogwarts. Gryffindor. Regulus and Slytherin.

[That last one might be straying too close to the things she doesn't think she should broadcast openly, and she frowns, looking even more annoyed - even if it's actually at herself.]

Just respond so I can get rid of this damn headache already.

Could isn't having it, so it doesn't explain why you know about Hogwarts.

[ he kind of wants to argue about his magic some more, but instead he sighs and tells the truth. ]

I'm friends with some guys who go there.

Sirius? Do you know him?

Iiiii know of him? He's friends with Remus. And Harry.

[ or, okay, not really with harry, if he understands that situation right. but close enough for shorthand. ]

[There's a slight pause, because she's kind of relieved. Sirius and Stiles being friends might cause some type of mini-apocalypse.]

Isaac said something about Remus.

[Before she flipped out at him.]

Harry's new.

[Not a name in any of Sirius' memories that she's seen so far.]

Yeah, you could say that.

[ stiles drums his fingers, picking his words as carefully as he can. ]

He's from around the same year as us. The rest of them are from like, the seventies.

Are you serious?

As a heart attack. Buuuut the crazy magic school is pretty ass-backwards no matter what era, so you probably won't be able to tell.

Yeah, I noticed.

[Because she hadn't figured out that Sirius' memories were happening in the seventies until now. But it's not what she's concerned over.]

Don't tell me you haven't thought about what that could mean for us.

I could get all Back to the Future if I don't recognize my mom when she shows up? Given it some thought, yeah.

[There's a brief flicker in her expression, because she hadn't actually considered her own family in her initial reaction: it was all about potential threats, and she sticks to that as she pulls it back to speak again.]

Ennis. Kali. Deucalion. Any of the Argents.

[ oh. right. yes. them. ]

Kate was here, actually. He didn't tell you?

[ why is he not surprised tho. ]

[Of course he didn't, Stiles, what a stupid question. Which is answered pretty clearly by her frown before she totally fails to answer with words.]

Was here. Did she just leave?

[Or did someone kill her. Again.]

Yeah. Yeah, she went — wherever people go when they go. I got some of her stuff.

[ then again, he also got peter's laptop, and he knows for sure where peter ended up. ]

Derek said they go back.

[When she'd gone to him about Erica. But Erica couldn't go back, and neither could Kate Argent. Which didn't answer much.]

Why do you have her stuff?

[ stiles shrugs, because it's easier than saying "i asked her for a hand killing your uncle but lydia beat me to it." ]

I have some of my dad's stuff, too, and Scott's. You've gotta hoard what you get, okay, there's no Macy's.

[Why do you have a hunter's stuff though Stiles.]

Your dad was here too.

[It isn't a question. She's hit the limit of asking questions about how much she doesn't know.]

For months.

[ he manages to keep his voice steady, even though the past tense still wrecks him a little. ]

He never found out. Derek and I struck up this kind of — agreement. I got him intel on some stuff, I recognized him as, you know, the Alpha—

[ said a little sarcastically. ]

And he kept my dad safe.

[She frowns slightly, doesn't actually want to press on this, but--]

He could have done that anyway.

[And after knowing what Derek does back in Beacon Hills - even if Derek doesn't remember it - she thinks he would have.]

[ the corner of stiles' mouth pulls, like he doesn't believe her. ]

Whatever. It kept Scott in the loop and it stopped my dad from finding out, even if in the end it meant pretty much jack.
