Hello everyone.

Forgive me, it's been a while since I used this function, but I'm sure you've all felt the strange goings on. Memories not your own, the feelings of other people...and an influx of emotions not your own. I've had several such flashes in the last few days. And to that end, I...well I suppose I'd like to speak with the individuals with whom I've shared memories. I know not who, but I recall several names from the dreams. Holmes, Winchester, Celebrian, and Stark, as well as the planet Vulcan and some sort of drill. Those would be the clues I have thus far.

[With that out of the way, the Jedi Grandmaster sends out a second broadcast]

This is Nomi, and I hope this finds all of you well. I have noticed a large influx of individuals from our galaxy lately and I believe that probably means something. Perhaps it is only random chance, but I've learned never to believe in coincidence. We should be working together, coming together with some sense of unity so that we can do the most good that can. It was something Quinlan and I spoke of before he departed, and I very much agree. Together we're far stronger and more useful. Through solidarity, we will be better equipped to handle the problems this ship throws at us.

To that end, I would like for all of us to meet as a group. Perhaps later this week? Say...two more days? And not just the Jedi. What I'm asking isn't a Jedi Conclave, but something for everyone. Brunch, if it suits you to call it that. I'll prepare some food from home, I'd ask that you do the same, or just bring something.

[He takes a seat, albeit somewhat stiffly.] As disturbing as it may be, I thank you for asking.

It's just how I do things. I'm not always the most subtle, and I try to be more open.

[She inclines her head, offering a weak, but hopefully encouraging look.]

Lady Galadriel explained what the meaning of the ships was. I am sorry for your loss.

I had wondered if she would answer your message. [Question answered.] If you still have questions, I may answer.

How long ago was that?

[Because she knows elves age differently.]

A half century. [Give or take.] A short time by some reckoning; several lifetimes by others. [To him, it can seem like both.]

A long time by mine, more than I've been alive.

Have you ever talked about it? Sought counseling?

I do not often speak of it, no.

[She nods]

Perhaps it would be wise, at some point. I know...how painful that can be.

Tell me. [He says it softly, as if he might already know something of her pain.]

My husband, my lover, and all save one of my teachers have perished or fallen into darkness.

[She sighs tiredly.]

Did you see such, from what was shared?

I believe so. [A pause and he echoes her sigh.] I apologize for the inadvertent intrusion.

It's...fine. But who's? [She gives him a tired look]

Context might make it easier to understand.

[A pause and then, simply:] His name was Vodo.

[There's a sharp intake of breath and Nomi looks away.]

That...was some time ago.

I will not ask that you tell me more of him. [It is clear that this is a painful memory -- very clear -- and Elrond will not pry.]

No, it's alright. It's common knowledge in my galaxy, and speaking of him honors his memory. [She nods firmly, gathering strength.] Vodo Siosk Baas was my predecessor as Jedi Grandmaster, and one of my teachers. I'm not sure how old he was, but rumors said he was at least a thousand. And there were none wiser or more well versed in the Light Side of the Force than him save perhaps his teacher, Odan Urr.

In some ways, you remind me of him, Lord Elrond.

You held him in high regard. I am honored. [By both the comparison and her willingness to share. (Though it was forced upon them; she could have refused to answer.) There's a softening in a somewhat guarded expression (because speaking of Celebrian always comes with that); empathy, not sympathy.] How long ago was this?

[That she recognizes, and she's grateful. Empathy...means at least some common ground.]

Two years, now. Time enough to miss him, but not enough to dull the memory.

[He nods slowly, carefully and deliberately trying to think a little less like an elf with regard to time passing.] A short time, yet long enough for his loss to be keenly felt. My condolences.

[A pause.] I will honor this memory. Even though inadvertently shared, to push it aside would be to cast aspersion on what he means to you.

Thank you. That would be appreciated. I think that he would like that, truly.

[She smiles, really grateful for the understanding. Vodo had been a truly great man, and a big influence on so many. His death had been the catalyst towards ending the war, which somehow Nomi still thought had been his intention.]
