Is it pretty common for people's memories to get screwed with here?

It happens more than you'd think. A couple of people from home that are here remember more than I do. [well it's only just casey now since chuck left recently but the point still stands]

How is that possible? If those blue goo machines were screwing with someone's head, wouldn't they be screwing with everyone's? What's the point?

I thought the same thing I'm not sure how it's possible but the explanation for it seems to be that we can be taken on the ship from different points in time.

But that doesn't explain how the people from later points in time can remember the people from earlier points being at home during the interim.

The way it was explained to me was that time stands still while we're here because when we do go back, it's like we never left at all.

When, not if? That's an optimistic theory.

[ she sounds cynical but the fact is she really likes the sound of that optimism right now because she is just fresh out of internal hope in so many ways, she could do with having some handed to her. ]

Well people have left so I don't think it's entirely impossible. [something which she is trying to believe herself despite how long she has been here]

Not really, that's still just as much a mystery along with how we got here in the first place.

Of course it is. I'm starting to wonder if there's anything we actually do know.

Yeah, I don't doubt that especially with how long some people have been here. [and that includes herself since it's been a bit over a year since she arrived]
