Complicated question of complicatedness. Are we talking happy happy or "I'm on a spaceship with things that wanna eat me but it could be worse" kind of happy?

[ yeah, she definitely didn't breathe in the middle of any of that, but both options aside — erica had seemed happy enough. ]

Probably more of the second for a lot of us, you know? But she gave off happy vibes, yeah. Definitely spunkier than a lot of other people here.

[he just nods at first, not really sure what to say to that. he'd prefer the former. that she was happy, regardless of where she is. but he knows he can't really expect to know that, here. he won't. not until she decides to call or text him again, back home. assuming she ever does.]

Yeah, she doesn't- She's not like most people. [which is what he liked about her the most.]
