[The feed flickers on to a young dwarf sitting at the base of a tree, the beginnings of an arrow in one hand as he went about sanding it down. The green of the oxygen gardens is something of a comfort to Kili nowadays, when he’s not at the forge, so it’s really no surprise to find him here.]
I was wondering if anybody would be welcome to bartering something for feathers I could use as fletching. I’ve a few left from before I arrived, but I would like to get a few more if I could. [A pause, head tilting.] I've not much on me, but the offer my brother and I made in our last message still stands, and we’ve managed to get our forge running. I know there were a few who had asked of it.
--That’s all for now, I suppose.
[Kili smiles brightly to the camera, and takes a moment to attempt to filter the feed away from the populace, managing it after a try or two.]
[There’s a second of him nodding to himself before focusing in on the camera again.]
Master Netherlands, I’ve heard you’re the leader of agriculture. [That might not be exactly the word he’s looking for, but he assumes it’s accurate enough.] I figured I should mention that I was hoping to make some arrows and wanted to make sure taking branches was alright.
[He doesn’t think Netherlands would care (and he’d do it anyway, to be honest!) but still, sometimes Kili does have some manners. In any case, that’s all he has to say so Kili leans forward to turn off the feed and get back to making himself some arrows like a good productive little dwarf.]

video;
I'll bring something to drink, then.
Might ask around if there is any good leaf, here. I'm out.
video;
Well, it lasted long enough considering. [Shrugs] I'm sure there's some to be found here, somewhere.
video;
I hope--are you out, brother?
video;
I've a little left, bring it down and we can share it.
video;
[Fili grins.]
Be there in twenty.
[And he's heading down their immediately. Get prepared for more bro time, Kili.]
video ---> action;
[A jaunty little smile, where else would he be??? Besides, quality bro time is always a plus. So by the time Fili manages to find him, it's been five past twenty minutes and Kili's humming under his breath as he works on making the arrow as perfect as he can. He has time now, why not use it in his best interests?
After so long in the quiet of the gardens it's easy to pick up Fili's familiar tred though, so Kili looks up, grins.]
Find the leaf, Fili?
no subject
[Fili smiles and holds up the bag, shaking it slightly, before coming to crash next to Kili, cuffing him on the back of the head gently.]
Probably can get us each two pipes a piece from it, at least.
no subject
Oh, aye, at least. [There's a quick smile Fili's way, mischievous.] You always did go through pipeweed faster than I, figured it'd be best to save some for you.
no subject
[He likes the stuff. And, well, with some of the stress he was under, he was bound to slide through it. Settling himself, enjoying the solid weight of his brother against him, he worked on unpacking his pipe.]
Might of found a lass to give you feathers, as well.
no subject
[He doesn't begrudge Fili that stress at all, which is why Kili simply teases and made sure to keep some pipeweed for when his brother ran out. This is familiar though, leaning against each other as Kili works on arrows and Fili smokes. The only thing missing is the chatter of wildlife and the blue of sky above.]
Truly? There have been more response for them than I expected, I'll have my quiver replaced in no time.
no subject
[For while the people are good, it is a shame they are trapped, here. Finally getting the weed into his pipe, he struck a match, slowly puffing on it to get it smoking.]
Aye--a girl named Nill. She has wings like a bird, attached to her back.
no subject
[But still, he understands where Fili's coming from. There's a quiet moment between the two of them and after letting Fili have a minute alone with his pipe Kili leans over and snatches it from his mouth, pilfering a lungful of smoke before handing it back.]
So that's where she'd get the feathers, then? Curious.
no subject
[Fili lets out a short burst of laughter when his pipe is stolen, grinning when it is handed back.]
Well, I suppose it is your weed.
[He nods.]
She is a sweet girl--is mute, as well.
no subject
Can she speak with her hands then? Like Iglishmêk?
no subject
I'd offer to teach her, but...
[Fili shrugs.]
The language is sacred and I wouldn't feel right.
no subject
No one here would blame you, Fili. [But Kili agrees.] She must be able to communicate well enough, if she has lived mute for a while.
no subject
[Fili chuckles, nudging Kili gently.]
It's like Bifur. Might not know a bloody word coming out of his mouth, but he gets his point across.
no subject
[He laughs, fond. Who would have thought he'd be sitting in a fake forest missing Bifur of all people?]
no subject
no subject
[There's a snort, and he reaches over to snag the pipe away once more.]
no subject
[Hey--Fili pouts.]
no subject
[Oh don't pout Fili. Kili breathes in smoke and rolls his eyes, reaching out to ruffle Fili's hair.]
no subject
[He rolls his eyes at the hair ruffling, but suffers through it.]
no subject
[Prompt and fully believing in his statement, Kili smiles and passes the pipe back as he breathes out.]
no subject
[Fili takes the pipe, giving Kili a bit of a nudge.]
Though I'm sure you'd also embellish what I was saying to others.
