[The feed flickers on to a young dwarf sitting at the base of a tree, the beginnings of an arrow in one hand as he went about sanding it down. The green of the oxygen gardens is something of a comfort to Kili nowadays, when he’s not at the forge, so it’s really no surprise to find him here.]

I was wondering if anybody would be welcome to bartering something for feathers I could use as fletching. I’ve a few left from before I arrived, but I would like to get a few more if I could. [A pause, head tilting.] I've not much on me, but the offer my brother and I made in our last message still stands, and we’ve managed to get our forge running. I know there were a few who had asked of it.

--That’s all for now, I suppose.

[Kili smiles brightly to the camera, and takes a moment to attempt to filter the feed away from the populace, managing it after a try or two.]

[There’s a second of him nodding to himself before focusing in on the camera again.]

Master Netherlands, I’ve heard you’re the leader of agriculture. [That might not be exactly the word he’s looking for, but he assumes it’s accurate enough.] I figured I should mention that I was hoping to make some arrows and wanted to make sure taking branches was alright.

[He doesn’t think Netherlands would care (and he’d do it anyway, to be honest!) but still, sometimes Kili does have some manners. In any case, that’s all he has to say so Kili leans forward to turn off the feed and get back to making himself some arrows like a good productive little dwarf.]

[There's a grin, pleased to see his brother even though they've certainly not been parted for very long. And then the offer registers and Kili pauses, thinks about it briefly, but hey an offer is an offer and if Fili thinks it might work out then Kili believes him.]

[He gives a nod. They do spend a great deal of time together, but that isn't far from how their lives normally are. Fili's world would seem strange without his brother around--or at least having knowledge of where he is.]

see i was planning on running a line of glow in the dark body pillows but if youve got a better use for these things im all for donating them

I have seen some arrows vaned with copper rather than feathers.

What kinda feathers are you looking for?

The type doesn't really matter, as long as they are primary feathers. Otherwise they don't work quite as well, and they're harder to strip from the quill.

I can offer a shitton of feathers. Any size, just about any color. Porcupine quills too, if you want them for any reason, and snake venom to tip the arrows with.

I just need an extra pair of hands.

[amicable, after the initial surprise at the notion of a dwarf shooting a bow. he hadn't exactly been paying much attention to them 60 years ago when their company rampaged stumbled through mirkwood, and gimli certainly has never mentioned it.
