Hi, everyone! Uh. I'm Tavros and as you can, I guess, probably see, I'm a troll. Or, if you can't see, please know that I am that. I do not want to exclude anyone, based on their preferred mode of sensory input.

So, I want to offer to anyone who is experiencing difficulty with an animal, because there are some on the ship apparently, my skills of communing with them, to better understand and change their behavior, and thus end any difficulties experienced. I, uh, definitely want everyone to know that I am here to be helpful in whatever way I can, basically!

[This is important! You don't get to be in the fleet if you're dead weight.]

On that note, the being-helpful one, uh, I guess since there are a lot of trolls now, and the ship has a lot of humans, or other species that now look human, if you have questions about how troll society works, I will try to answer them. Uh, our culture is pretty different, and misunderstandings may occur. Possibly someone has done this already, but I thought I would offer also. I am, uh, generally pretty open to cultural exchange, and that sort of thing, and it would, I guess, be good to work together while we're all stuck here.

I see. I am not from Earth either; their small fauna are interesting—they even have shops to sell them. [ totally mindblowing that earth doesn't have goats three times the normal size. and what sort of animal shop doesn't sell a horse?????? but whatever. he digresses. ]

Your kind is nothing like the trolls I know from home. Is there no natural inclination toward violence...?

Really? I, uh, didn't look at the human economic practices, when I was watching them. I guess my field of reference could be said to be, probably, quite narrow! But I do know that they can have close relationships with animals, almost like trolls. Or, at least, Jade did.

[Talking about animals perks Tavros up a great deal, and he decides he likes this strange human.]

Um. Violent is, uh, probably definitely a word that could be applied to trolls. Its execution and, uh, management is, pretty much, a central concern in our society. Um. But "troll" seems to be a word that is used a lot so...if the trolls you are used to, don't really, uh, look like me, with the grey skin and different horn shapes, probably they are not like us.

No, nothing like you at all. It is rather fascinating, to a degree. The few trolls I have met here have certainly begun to shift my opinions. I cannot say I am fond of the ones I know from home—then again, we do not exactly spend time talking.

Oh. Did your trolls try to conquer you? That is, uh, basically what the whole culture was geared to do. Um. When we had a culture. Before our universe was destroyed.

Not... particularly. They are just battle-hungry at all times. Though, I cannot claim innocence as in my youth, I did provoke many. [ ah. memories...! ] But, you still exist, do you not? That carries on the culture regardless of what happens to your homeland.

Oh. Well. Maybe just as there are humans in other dimensions, there are trolls too, because that sounds...about right. Um. And also, might be, perhaps, a reason why carrying on the culture might not, uh, be a thing that we should probably do here.

While I do not understand what good a troll can be, I do not think it wise to erase entire cultures. No matter how volatile they can become. [ ahahafjslkf and now this is hitting too close to home. whoops ]
