I'm aware there are greater things to consider than the whims of a king, but I would ask your indulgence in this instance. Things have gone quiet, for the moment, so perhaps this is the best time to pose such a question.

[ there's a rumble from grey wind, a shift and scrape of claws on the metal. robb runs a hand over his head, settles behind the ears. ]

I would hear what was known of skinwalkers and shapechangers, if there are those aboard who would be comforable speaking of such subjects with me. Anything you wish to speak of, even legend and lore. I'd be grateful for it, good people of the Tranquility.

That's where both of us are from. Manhattan, specifically. If you even know where that is. [ Because he sort of gets the feeling that he doesn't. But that's not really what he wanted to ask in the first place; he phrased that poorly. ] But I mean--

There is something, but it is not my place to tell it. I walked in the dream of your brother, but the things I saw there are his to tell, not mine.

[ Peter gets to have his own long pause now because... because you can't just say things like that and then refuse to give more details. Especially when the details consist of asking Nathan for them. ]

I could not say. It was a dream. Such things are hard to interpret, and I admit, much of it was strange to me.

[ robb's a king man he can do whatever he wants. ]

Guess i'll just have to ask Nathan, then.

[ God, making him talk to his brother, what is this shit. But no, in all truth he can respect someone who keeps others' secrets. Even if they're Nathan's secrets. There is just this one small thing, though.... ]

I think it does not exist, in your world. Much of Westeros seems to be unfamiliar to all I've spoken to.

Pretty sure a lot of things don't exist to almost anyone around here. Everyone's got a different story to tell, a different home, a different future. Just can't tell if that's a good thing or not.

It's neither good nor bad. It simply is the way of this place.

All I've ever wished is to a just king. A fair king. It seems hard to be such if one is so accustomed to lies.

Think if you don't find a way to work around them, then they end up taking over instead of you. Use a lie enough times and you end up thinking it's actually true. Or just forgetting to care that it isn't.
