Alistair here. I'm reporting that Shale's body was... irretrievable. [ A small, muttered "I guess". ] The black hole thingie that killed her is still there. So, unless you want to find it yourself, you're going to need a lot of padding and a lot of rope. [ He chuckles, not really that into it, before pausing. ] No, but seriously, don't do that. The black hole will suck you in and you will die.

The gist of it is basically what everybody else has mentioned before. Walking around alone is a bad idea. If the monsters don't get you, the black hole will.

And to everybody else that knew Shale... [ Right. This is the hardest part. But a good king knows how to lie through his teeth. ] She was a good soldier and a good friend. Whether she's by the Maker's side or she returned to The Stone, know that she's in a better place now.

[ Have an extremely red-nosed, red-eyed, frog-throated Anders. He's clutching a tissue in one hand. He has a cold, but you might be forgiven for assuming he's mourning Shale extremely deeply, if you didn't know he ... really didn't know her. He appreciated her dry humor, her mutual enjoyment of feathers -- albeit for different reasons: his because they make great pauldrons, hers because they mean a bird died or at least suffered the pain of plucking -- and her fantastic golem derriere. That was about it. ]

What happened to her? Do we even know? Did you find anything out about this ... black hole?

Was there any radiation in the area?

According to the video, she was fighting monsters until, well, she got sucked in. We've been to her location and we couldn't get near. It would've killed us too.

The black hole was basically this huge... [ He puffs his cheeks and makes an explosion sound, waving an arm in the air. ] ...vacuum thingie that sucked things in and destroyed them. Kind of like getting shoved off a really high cliff, and then chewed by a high dragon, I think. [ The last one is him speaking from experience. ]

[ !!!! D: ] I... am not sure. How would I know if there was radiation there?

Don't they have ... some sort of a detector? Like a dowsing rod, only for radiation.

Well, she's a golem! It would take something extraordinary to kill a golem beyond all hope of revival. [ Something like space radiation. Which probably causes black holes. ]

She was one of the first to speak to me, after my first jump. I think that says something about her too. She seemed really strong.

She was. She wasn't polite or tactful or, Maker forbid, tolerant of anything... but I think living for centuries as a golem took a lot of guts.
