I know it's late and you're probably both exhausted and you might not get this until later but I wanted to tell you right away - I didn't shift. I'm not a werewolf! I was a little jittery for a while, like I felt.. feverish, and moody, but it might have just been nerves. It was probably nerves. I never felt out of control or anything like that, and I never changed. Not even a little bit. So, I think I'm immune to the bite. My mutation probably... I dunno! It fought it. Even if there's some magic to it, the- the curse, like you said, I guess maybe my body just.. rejected it. [ she pauses, and it's just so she can huff with disbelief ] It makes no sense, and I really don't understand it at all. But I had to let you guys know. I'm okay. I'm fine, I promise, I'm totally fine.

Now I just need to come up with some story as to where the scar came from.

Last jump I received something in my locker that I think might be of interest some of you. ..Maybe. Actually, I'm not really sure if this is something more for the science labs or for you guys in the medbay. But, um. Either way! [ someone's a little nervous. she's only told Jesse about this, and she's not.. sure if it's going to be seen as a negative or positive yet ] Basically, back home, a friend of mine was trying to make a serum that would normalize my appearance. I would still be a shapeshifter, but I wouldn't have my blue natural form anymore. At the time, it was what I wanted. So he took a sample of my blood and tried to use my X-gene, my mutation ..whatever, to cook up this serum, right? But it didn't turn out right, it actually enhanced his abilities when he injected it. His mutation- He started out with mutated feet, and he's super smart, and really strong, but the serum ended up sending it all into overdrive. He's healthy! More than, actually. But the serum made him... transform. A little bit. [ A LOT ACTUALLY BUT WELL ] My point though, is that this serum can enhance abilities. And I haven't tried it yet, I haven't even shown anyone.

But I was thinking maybe you guys could take a look at it. See if you can make sense of it? Because if it can enhance my abilities, boost me up to full strength like I was back home instead of dulled down like I am here, I want to take it. But only if I know it'll work, and that it's safe.

Does that sound like something any of you would have some luck with?

It's perfectly fine-- and in any case, seeing as it's my nickname, I hardly think it's up to him to decide.

"Padfoot". I'm sure you've noticed he's inordinately fond of dogs. And I'll remember that-- I quite like it, it fits you quite well. Although "Raven" has its charms.

aw! clever. also pretty handy since it felt a little weird calling him Sirius when he was ...padfooted. oh that's right! he showed me what he can do. well, yet another thing. magic is starting to seem pretty limitless, to me.

he sort of had to after he told me he spends the full moon with you. it's actually kinda sweet, him learning how to do that for you. ..not that you want to hear that kind of thing from me. anyway!! nope he has not. tell me?

They're the five things you absolutely cannot transfigure or conjure out of air.

1. Food.
2. Money.
3. Bringing someone back from the dead. Similarly, any sort of life-- I could transfigure a shoe into a puppy, but it wouldn't be a real dog, not really (it would mostly reflect me in personality, actually).
4. Curse damage-- scars and lost limbs and so on (which is why your scar nor mine will ever disappear).
5. Love. We can simulate love via a love potion, but it's not the genuine thing.

i'm not sure how i feel about shoe puppies... but i'm pretty surprised to hear love potions are real!! that's either really very fun, or creepy and weird.

They're quite cute, actually, although mine always tend to come out as pug dogs for some reason.

And creepy. Very creepy. I mean, they're all right for a laugh, and they can fade-- but they can be very dangerous if brewed too strongly.

puppy-Remus is not a pug, in my head. my first thought was a terrier. not the ones with the beard, but the fuzzy kind. definitely. yikes! yeah, no thank you then. the real thing is risky enough.

Yes, but I quite like pug dogs, so there you have it. And puppy-Remus is a wolf, actually, very noble and dignified.

i suppose puppy-Remus *is* a wolf, yes. fair enough. although now i'm picturing you as a little fuzzball of a baby wolf. still noble and dignified! but fuzzy. and adorable. ... why did Sirius want your friend Peter to fall in love with him?

Not HIM! Heaven forbid! No, he wanted him to fall in love with some poor Hufflepuff third-year (we were in fourth at the time) for a day for a laugh. But I happen to believe in not humiliating our friends, so there you have it.

Also I'm never adorable, Raven, thank you very much. Simply dignified, noble, et cetera.

that's a pretty noble ( see that? i'm agreeing here ) thing to believe in, yes. though you're actually pretty adorable, Remus, sorry to break it to you. sometimes! it's not a word i'd use to describe you just out of the blue, but you have your moments.
