[Luke comes on screen. He looks a bit tired but hey that's nothing new, right? There are circles under his eyes. But he still has a slight smile on his lips even with his scar he looks friendly.]

So back at home I used to train campers how to sword fight. I was wondering if there was something I could do here. I've been getting bored again on this ship and me and boredom don't get a long too well. [Mainly because thinking leads to bad things.]

I was wondering if there was an armory? Or something where I can train or help others be trained. I know there is gym that I'm thinking of checking out but.. I would really like to work on my swordsmanship.

Hey.. I don't know where we stand on terms of friendship but I, uh, need you to help me with something. [He brings up his mask.] I haven't put it on. [he shakes his head.] I wanted to know if maybe you'd take it for me. Hide or lock it up. I can't destroy it and I don't like the way it makes me feel.

Sounds good. Do you have an extra sword? [Because his own sword wasn't included in the locker special.]

If it isn't too much trouble. [He's used to just having a sword.]

I can assure you it wouldn't be a waste of time. At the camp I worked at I was the best swordsman they had seen in the last three hundred years.

Is this a metaphorical bird or an actual bird told you because I met a bird once that could say stone.

I don't think she was a sorceress but she had this white raven. It would call out 'stone' which was her last name. [Though he didn't this girl at all. She could have been a sorceress.]

So this metaphorical bird. [on to the next subject.] Would it have been talking about you?

What kind of junior camp counsellor teaches people how to sword fight?

The kind that teaches the kids how to survive outside of the camp grounds. [Though most of the time the kids don't always come back the following summer.]

[ She raises an eyebrow. ] So, instead of making Lanyards and chanting Cumbauya, you learned and taught survival skills. [ a beat ]

Well, I bet you're doing better here than the kids who made lanyards. Are hoping to enlist in the army or join intelligence or something like that?

[ Not that either of those use swords anymore, but details. Survival skills are the important parts. ]

Something like that. [Except he lead an army that was set on destroying pretty much everything.]

And the camp I counseled it wasn't a normal summer camp.

Monsters. [Dragons are included how do you think he got the scar on over his right eye.] Other demigods sometimes, though I'm trying cut back on fighting family.

That's right. [He says as if this is all very normal.]

I'm a son of Hermes. [It's not the first time he's said that and it won't be the last.] The camp is for the children of the Greek goods. Zeus, Poseidon, Ares, Aphrodite, so on and so fourth.

[ if you think walking in a minefield is complicated, Percy would just like to say check yourself before you wreck yourself. exploding limbs is only slightly similar to talking to Luke and it takes him awhile to pay full attention but when he does, he's solemn. ] Whatever our history is, I don't see why you'd think I wouldn't do you a favor.

[ especially when it comes to these masks he keeps reading about. ]

And if there's an armory, I haven't been introduced to it. [ and he wants to say he doesn't think all of the kids are prepared to hold a sword. what if they take the wrong path with those skills? ] Doesn't mean I won't be there for both reasons if you want a hand.

[Again Percy proves to be a good guy. It doesn't really amaze him anymore. Just goes to show who the hero is. Even with their history he is still someone Luke can count on. And he doesn't have many people he can now-a-days.] Thanks. [Is all he can say and don't read into how hesitant it sounds.]

I was hoping someone might have a few swords they could let me use. It seems like there are a few people who would like to learn. [He doesn't know how many people here have swords or would be as kind to let him borrow them.] If we had.. [He was going to say 'if we had a kid of Hephaestus here' but stops himself.] the resources I could maybe start training again. You know. Doing something I know.

Don't hold your breath. [ sorry not sorry. ] Supplies are sparse unless they come with you but hey, Wichita found a real shooting range not too long ago. [ found is a tip-toeing word for what happened. ] And it is a big ship. It wouldn't be impossible to say it's somewhere on this huge ship and we've missed it. I just can't imagine why they'd have swords.

I heard there was a fight club in one of the holodecks.

A fightclub? [Luke nods as he considers it for a moment. There was doesn't mean there is now.]

I just thought it'd be something to do to pass the time. Teach people how to handle a sword. It's not like I have to or anything. Maybe I'll get something from back home to help. [Though he would hate it if backbiter was the sword that showed up in his locker.]

Now about the mask.. You're the one I can trust to take it and lock it up somewhere where I can't find it. With the things people did while wearing them.. I don't want that to happen to me.
