[ The feed starts with a girl's comms device clanging to the floor from her bed hitting the "on" switch, unknowingly cast aside. She'd been surfing it earlier, trying to get a feel for the thing, but after hearing Darth Vader II's little message about "not being able to wait to see what they'd do next", she knew she had to get serious about leaving (not that she wasn't before... but...). Four days was more than long enough to be stuck on what basically amounted to the ship from "Aliens". ]

—this is getting into Avengers and Fantastic Four territory. . .

[ The scene is simple enough (from what you can see from a device on the floor, of course). The girl appears to be lost in thought, holding a staff.

This was way out of her jurisdiction. She had someone else to worry about. ]

Let's see. . .

[ and with maybe just a little bit of fanfare. . . ]

No place like home!

[ a cloud of smoke briefly obscures the room, before revealing...

The girl still standing there, only now she seems to be wearing a pair of ruby slippers. ]

Ok... so that one was a bust...

[ but she's not done yet ]

Earthward bound!

[ Again, what looks like smoke covers the room, and there's... an earth-shaped ball bouncing around the room.

She glares at her staff. ]

I didn't use a single one of these spells. Work, you p—

[ and the ball bounces on top of the comms device, conveniently ending the feed. ]

[ Oh, a kid.

Even if this girl was way younger, she couldn't help but think of Molly and where she should be. ]

Trying to get back home.

The key word is "trying".

It's not working very well. Admittedly, if it were that easy I'd have found a way to leave by now, too.

What have we here, hmm? 'Tis magic of a curious nature...

[ A frown. She can't quite bring herself to trust anyone on this ship (particularly adults) and makes a note not to be so careless for the next time. ]

'Tis magic of a dysfunctional nature, right now.

[ ok. Not her best, but she didn't really have much time to work with it. ]

[It's cool. This is probably an adult you should be cautious of, anyway.]

Oh? Was the spell's purpose for something other than... shoes?

[He will never get used to people talking about the Avengers so casually. Tony takes a sip from his glass of space booze.]

[ Well, after they all save the world a few (~~hundred~~) times, they're kinda hard not to be talked about casually.

Not that she was exactly a huge fan of the Avengers, given what'd happened. But either way, she might be trying not to stare. ]

[ But it couldn't be. ]

[Except the Avengers in his world are the equivalent to the Secret Avengers.]

Tony Stark? In the flesh, just replace founding Avenger with founding Ultimate.

[Despite feeling absolutely miserable lately, false cheer is something he excels at.]

...Ultimate.

[ Is this some weird new thing she hasn't heard of? ]

Wait. Are you like a celebrity impersonator who couldn't get the trademark or something, so you had to say "ultimate" instead of "avenger"?

You mentioned the Fantastic Four, you can't tell me you don't know about alternate universes.

[ Even if they are all (literally) in the same boat, she's really still having a hard time trusting anyone (and you know what they say about people you meet "online"). ]

Um... yeah... I guess it's safe to say that you can't really leave -- magic or not.

So not only is it some crazy spaceship, but it's a crazy dimension-hopping, magic-blocking spaceship.

[ Definitely not cool. ]

You think anyone knows we're missing? Back where we come from?

[ There has to be something they can do. ]

I can't actually answer that. I've only been here for like a day, so I still don't really know what's going on besides the basics.

[ and it's not like anyone would be looking for her if they weren't already ]

[taking time out of his busy day of being tired to be highly unimpressed here....]

[ And her voice might carry a hint of "what's it to you", and "can you do better"? ]

Not very good, is it. Lovely shoes, though, really sets off your hair. Does that usually work to get yourself home?

[ she might almost smile at that. ]

I wouldn't know. I've never tried it before.

Pity. Probably for the best, though. I think whoever told you that was a spell was having you on.

It was meant to be a spell, wasn't it?

[He's curious and the attempts to say something to get home are enough he doesn't bother with any other way of talking. Davesprite looks human enough if you miss his long longs and glowing orange status.]

Don't think you're getting back to Kansas there. No yellow brick road for one. Though the slippers are a nice touch.

[ That definitely makes her give the guy more than one look-over. But then again, what's a spaceship without aliens?

Things were really starting to get out of hand. ]

[ It didn't make sense... she'd never had a problem like this before... ]

Powers get pretty nerfed here. Anyone give you the file they release to newcomers yet?

[ Maybe a bit of an eyeroll. Sweet cheeks... ]

They save the world a lot.

[ Though who doesn't know that. ]

And they're really difficult to get ahold of, unless there's an alien invasion or something.

[he debates for all of like a second before responding]

Well you're in luck, because I am one. And I can probably help you more than a new pair of shoes.

Yeah, you'd think that something like that would work in a place like this. After all, look how many movie characters and shit are actually real.

[ ...Wait. ]

Movie characters. Like Keanu Reeves somehow being convinced he's Neo because of weird spacey stuff, or...

[ A guy that actually is Neo.

Because that's just messed up. ]

No, it's like Frodo Baggins who looks like Elijah Wood but is actually Frodo Baggins. They're actually the real deal here.

[Her powers remind him a bit of Billy's. With the other thing she said--]

[Yep, that's how he is going to say hello.]

[ Well that catches her attention. ]

Nope. Just your run-of-the-mill human.

[ With magical powers. ]

Do... you know many of them? Mutants?

[ And her thoughts drift back to Molly, who wasn't safe, and she knew well enough that she should be back there in LA, not on some voyage through the stars. ]

Uh yeah, no. No human can do magic, okay? You're either a wizard, or a witch, or something like that.

[Sorry, Alex remains skeptical.]

I am one, so yeah, I know some.

Well. That's impressive.

[ It's actually not really that impressive, but Peter isn't the greatest conversationalist to begin with, as he smiles awkwardly at the whole sight displayed. ]

[ huh. he's seen different sorts of spells before, sure, but none ever like this. ]

So, is the magic show always free, or are you gonna start charging soon?

[ You know, she's not in a great mood right now, but... it's hardly this guy's fault. ]

I was hoping it'd be a one-time sorta deal.

Really? Could've made a mean amount, if you ask me.
