[ The greeting comes from a woman who is longing about in a chair, all heels, business wear and red lips. She looks calm or at least, calm enough given the situation. There is a smile on her lips, as if this amuses her on a certain level.

But if her smile is silk her eyes are steel. ]

Quite a predicament, this is. My arrival seemed to be in tune with the message from our -

I will not ask of how one leaves or why are we here, as I have no intention to waste your time or my own. I will make one inquiry.

[ her voice turns strict, as if she is used to be making inquiries. ]

I am in search of a child. His name is Henry Mills, he is ten years old. If there is such a passenger aboard this ship, I would have him sent to me, I am his mother.

[ a pause; and then, another. ]

I would also ask of the portal through which we came here. I know all gain consciousness in what you call the couches. I mean to ask if we have knowledge of the portal through which we are transferred into the couches.

[ another smile, almost pleasant this time. ]

[ and that would be all; there is a very limited amount of time in which Regina Mills can pretend to be nice. ]

[ A child. Regina tries to think if Henry would befriend a child this small. Her son is protective, certainly, but there is only so much a ten year old can do. ]

[ there can be no other explanation. Charming sent miss Swan to the world without magic through a box, of all things. The hat was once able of doing the same. There must be a portal. ]

I can think of nothing else. Most likely, it is hidden by whomever brought us here.

I don't know if we understand the science behind the Jump Drive yet.

[ Or magic. Magic is everywhere, she has learned. Emma's kiss woke up Henry in a land that was without magic. Still. A portal that pulls people from different realms - that is almost beyond her. ]

Are there any here with the ability to look into the devices that are called the 'couches'?

[ That said. ] Dunno 'bout portals an' this place. Last place I was stuck, there was some kinda rift at fault. Ain't seen nothin' of the sort here, though.

Rift? A rift of what kind?

[ A rift between worlds is not something she is familiar with; she may never admit to the fact that the magic of the place is beyond her, but it doesn't change the fact that it is most likely just that. ]

As for my son, I have a picture, though if he were here, I suspect he'd make himself known.

[ he was a curious boy, after all. No doubt he'd see this as an adventure of a sort. She feels a sudden urge to smile at the thought, trust Henry to treat this as fairytale heroism. She lifts up a picture her knuckles white around it. She misses her son; he gave her a chance, she cannot fail him. ]

I know most the kids on this ship, but I ain't met a Henry. I'll look out for him, though.

If he is not here -

[ then she must go back. She must return. This is not about the curse, the curse is broken. It is not about control or reigning over Storybrooke. She made a promise to Henry. She will not be able to keep it, not from here.

She refuses to fail her son again. ]

Then perhaps it is for the best. This ship - from the little I heard, it is not a place for a child.

[ it feels odd to say it. Regina Mills is not one for much politeness. But this realm is something else; she best earn allies than enemies, she keeps the anger, the rage under control. Her magic is still absent. It is a matter of time, she knows.

The trouble is always time. ]

I don't know which will anger me more. To find out my son is captured in such a situation or to find out we've been separated.

Yet. Knowledge is something to be obtained. If it had not been until now, that still does not mean it cannot be achieved at all.

The couches, has one been taken apart? examined? To the passengers have access to the room we woke up at before the so called jumps?

I don't think the portals are actually here on the ship. We probably pass them every month, when the ship speeds up to do the jump. That's what I think probably happens, from what I was told.

Do you think the portals are in space then? And they pull people from...different spaces.

[ Space is something that different between one realm and another, she knows. The stars in Storybrooke were not the same as the ones in the Enchanted Forest. ]

I have been told that perhaps my son has been spared. This ship does not seem to be a place for a curious child of ten.

I'd say your arrival had a bit of bad luck in the timing department. Our graceful companion had been rather quiet for a number jumps. Then again, I'm sure some individuals enjoy the excitement that comes along with them resurfacing.
