[ her voice turns strict, as if she is used to be making inquiries. ]

I am in search of a child. His name is Henry Mills, he is ten years old. If there is such a passenger aboard this ship, I would have him sent to me, I am his mother.

[ a pause; and then, another. ]

I would also ask of the portal through which we came here. I know all gain consciousness in what you call the couches. I mean to ask if we have knowledge of the portal through which we are transferred into the couches.

[ another smile, almost pleasant this time. ]

I take it you're used to portals back home?

I heard of some; but they have all been shut. Whatever brought me here is something entirely else and controlled by someone, only I can't seem to get an answer as to the identity of our kidnapper.

A lot of people tend to pin the blame on the captain of this vessel but he's not exactly around. It's bit of a pain in the neck if you ask me.

I heard of the absent captains and also of the mysterious presence that recorded that rather...interesting message and sent it to the entire network.

Does the captain ever speak to the passengers of this ship?

As long as I have been on board this ship, he hasn't. Prior to that, I don't know. There are other passengers who have been here longer than I have.

The chief engineer is the one who makes appearances.

And does the chief engineer informed enough to be able to answer the questions of the ships' prisoners?

I shall try both. You call your passengers and not 'prisoners', I find it interesting.

[ sugarcoating is not something Regina Mills ever did. ]

[There's a polite smile to acknowledge that.]

I've used the term 'prisoners' before on a number of occasions. Some here mightn't be so pleased to hear that word being assigned to them so I use passenger instead.

They're grave fools if they will not admit to being what they are. Thinking of one as a guest rather than a prisoner lowers chances of resistance.

[ not that she needs help from fools but still. ]

Oh, there's certainly a lot of resistance. People don't like being messed with and they don't respond well to threats. I can't speak for everyone of course but I digress.

[ the group who wants to stay does not interest her at all. Regina knows one thing, she must come back if it is the last thing she does; if others wish to stay, so be it. She is more interested in the ones who do not. ]

I wish I could tell you that it gets easier the longer you're here.

It is alright, miss Talbot. I did not think it was. That is the issue with such prisons. They are always a prison, even after years.

Agreed. You can dress this place up however you like but it's always going to be a prison. You're held against your will without much hope of returning home.
