Let me just say I'm not really a fan of the new tattoo, or the vomit-inducing speedy elevators, but I guess this isn't so bad. Space, huh? Alright. Fine.

So I hope you've all been looking out for him, he needs that. [ her tone is entirely too sincere, maybe as a ploy to try and piss off Tate and fish him out of wherever he's hiding, or maybe just for her own amusement. ] It's just that he's been known to get into these moods, well- We'll call them "episodes" for now, actually, that's more accurate. He sometimes has these "episodes", during which time he's unpredictable and- [ SIGH. it's such a sensitive subject, can you tell? ] Let's just say it's best that they're avoided, yeah. And keeping him away from me will definitely result in an episode. [ don'tsmirkdon'tsmirkdon'tsmirk ]

Anyway! If anyone would be interested in giving the new girl a tour, I wouldn't exactly object. [ only ( tall, dark, handsome, & strait ) men need apply, please and thank you. ] If I'm gonna be living here I need to know my way around the place, right?

Tate Langdon saved my life.

[ or, just possibly, he freaked out and made a bad situation into a terrible one. but what Heather remembers is being terrified, being manhandled by people wouldn't tell her what was going on, and Tate coming out down on them like a screaming guardian angel. so she tries to keep her voice light, keep it hey here's a thing you might want to know, but she's about as convincing as Hayden's concern. not that it matters -- if she's sincere, she'll take it at face value, right?

The ship docked at a station a while back. I wasn't as careful as I should have been and I got grabbed by some locals who wouldn't tell me where they were dragging me off to. Then Tate showed up. And as you can see, I'm fine. So I'd say he's doing just fine.

Not to quote a trope of the horror genre here, but usually when the new guy - or girl - says something creepy about the now-established supporting character in the movie, it usually spells "do a background check on new guy" in big red letters.

Most horror movies keep doing that part wrong, though.

Except this isn't a predictable movie, and you can't do a background check on someone that's been kidnapped and forced to live on a spaceship. [ duh ] Though I promise I'm not trying to fill in some character role, just looking out for a friend.
