Good afternoon, Tranquility.

This is Doctor Watson from medbay with just a few, quick announcements.

First, some of you may or may not have noticed that I was absent for the greater portion of the last jump. Sorry - that's about as much as I know about it as well. Anyone who was looking for me, specifically, can contact me at this number.

Secondly, due to my absence, I don't know if anyone new has joined on to the medical team or not [ He doesn't really sound hopeful in that aspect. ] or if anyone's left, so I'd like to call for a quick headcount of our current staff, if you wouldn't mind.

I'd also like the staff to quickly jot down their availability for shifts on the roster I attach.

SHIFT ROSTER

Medbay is always looking for more staff. No experience necessary, just time and dedication to the job. If you're interested, contact me and we'll run through a brief interview with the other senior staff.

JOB SIGN-UP

Finally... I'm sure many of you have noticed we've gotten another Sherlock Holmes aboard. For those of you who don't know, there are three of them.

Two of them look completely identical and sign their texts. Those ones are Seven and Eleven. [ Go ahead and have yourself a chuckle, Americans. ]

Eleven is directly from London. He has never been on the Tranquility before this jump, so please don't try and treat him as if you know him, or expect him to act like he did when you knew him. I'm telling you this so you don't have to hear it from him - he's got a [ A soft grunt of a laugh-not-laugh. ] particular way of putting things. Some things do stay the same.

We could use someone to just launder the sheets and help keep an eye on the patients.
But what I really meant is that we are willing to teach if someone is willing to work
here. We can't expect trained physicians to come every jump.

I can launder, and mend as well. And bring hot tea and soup as necessary. I have no interest in learning to be a physician.

Maybe it was nothing, after all, even though she still does not sleep properly and is still losing weight. And, not having investigated yet into the medical side of things, as the procedure from home might be different...]

No, we take walk-ins. It's nice when someone calls ahead of time so we can be sure someone's there to help them when they come in, but it's not necessary.

Unless you're only looking to be treated by a specific doctor here - that's the only time I'd see the point in having an appointment.

Yes. If it worked like a doctor's office back home, although I suppose many of the things you would see a doctor for there don't necessarily happen here.

But no. I'm afraid I don't actually know any of the doctors here, or even if any here could be of help. I just didn't want to show up if that's not how it works.

General information about Medical, anything involving the contagious illness experienced a few months ago, records, and so on.

I've got some hospital experience, but - it's pretty basic, which I guess doesn't matter with the "no experience necessary" disclaimer. I was pre-med before things got derailed. [ By space, presumably. ] I also fold some pretty mean laundry, if that's... something that happens in the medbay.

Did you have a particular specialty in mind when you were going to school?

Internal medicine, hadn't really narrowed it down beyond that. So probably more geared towards the diagnosing than the exciting space surgeries.

[ 'Tam' is an unfamiliar name to John, but he's been gone for a month, too. Anyway, he's not going to outright say as much. ]

How are they working for you, would you say? Any troubling side-effects?

They're doing their job so far with no apparent side-effects.

[They didn't stop the nightmares though.]

I think I'd like to get another check-up just in case.

[The thing that pings his interest here is actually information that there are somehow three of the same person on board (or at least the same name, though two of them being identical takes that apart). Considering he's heard of two different versions of himself here in the past...

He's aware he's going to sound nosy but he's only falsely apologetic in being so.]

Ah, excuse me... The Sherlock Holmes-san who is not identical... Is it simply a name he shares with the others?

Ah... No, not quite. Well yes, but no.

He ah... Holmes is from a different time than the identical two, and a bit older as well. And he looks completely different. [ A bit shorter... but a good deal more mature in most ways. ] You'd certainly be able to tell him apart from the others. But he shares some similar... quirks? The three of them are alike in a lot of ways.

It's really hard to explain.

If you've been paying attention to the network, Holmes is the man asking after the turkey.

Then they share more than a name, I assume you are saying. Nearly an identity, perhaps?

[Pause. Okay it's kind of hard to be this vague and have conversation even when you're Japan.] I apologize for asking so many questions, but I find this quite interesting, seeing as I came from another place with strange circumstances just like this... only to hear that I have existed in this place as "Japan" in two separate ways prior. Simultaneously, at that.

[His future self and. Girl... self?! He doesn't get it at all, but he feels like if he asks around about this maybe he can figure out more.]
