Remarkable, really, although a touch pathetic. I've been here for awhile now and every month, it's the same. The warnings, the doling out information, the cry for the importance of council and laws and rules. You all claim to be on the same page, but it doesn't change the fact that your utopia will not exist.

The lines have been drawn already. I'm certain most of you under the watchful eyes of Senator Petrelli and his good intentions haven't seen them, but they're there. All this public information, but how much more is being kept? Secrets hidden away, meant to protect the delicate sensibilities of the entire ship that might be helpful to know. I'm certain the thought has crossed your mind. What aren't they telling us?

Someone slanders the good name of a man you all may or may not respect and his immediate reaction is to continue to ask us to stand together and don't believe the lies or what's being said to drive us apart, but we already know where we'll stand and I sincerely doubt it will be together. Too many conflicting opinions, too many desires. Gossip is little to the resentment already brewing.

In fact, the only way we're not going to devolve into separate factions either fighting or tolerating each other is if we become like our friends on Strela.

And we wouldn't want that, would we?

I'm going to assume that you three of no intention of playing along with the ship's so-called concept of law and order. I'm also certain that you know other like-minded individuals. Perhaps I speak too strongly, but when someone insists that my continued survival involves huddling under a pre-determined set of beliefs, I find myself wondering if it's better to be a safe sheep or a wolf who isn't dominated by rules.

On the contrary, Mr. Petrelli. It's not your politics that concern me. You're not lacking in intelligence. I've seen far worse in men who claim to be aggressively moral.

It's your naivety. You and the captain- the young one- have made quite the impressive figureheads. However, both of you suffer from a simple, undeniable flaw- either you truly believe we're going to come together or you're too afraid to realize we won't and are overcompensating for it.

The problem is you think Kirk and I don't have teeth, that we won't take up the fight if we're presented with it. You want to draw lines against us, then you're better off thinking of us as a pride of lions than a flock of sheep.

I'm not naive. I was never a hero. I'm never going to be. But that means I will do whatever it takes to smother the chaotic elements of the ship's complement if I have to. I don't put up with bullshit, not when lives are at stake.

Safety is relative, Ms. Talbot. I don't enjoy being subserviant to anything I can't profit from.

I'm hardly suggesting a team effort, rather a sort of mutually beneficial circle of like-minded individuals, sharing information for a small price, operating what will undoubtedly be a flourishing black market. More or less, what we're already doing now, but more organized.
