[Are you enjoying your relatively quiet comm. right now? Yeah? Well, Takeshi has some stuff he's gotta do. Firstly, he's stuck—transferred, more than likely—and secondly, he can't find anyone he knows. After trying to figure out what the hell to do with this thing (it's kinda like a phone, huh? but...), he finally gets the VOICE down. Unfortunately, his way of trying to use it is talking a little louder than someone should to the blasted thing. That's why a young voice pops up, a slight lisp audible, common with his age:]

DAD?! Dad, can you hear me?! I'm stuck in this weird place, but I'm not dead!

[Thankfully, he leans back from the recorder a little. Thankfully.]

 I think they transferred me, like they did you and Reika. There's some people here, but I don't think they're from the room like us; maybe they're just stuck here by aliens, or maybe they are really aliens like those ones from before, I dunno, but I'll tell you when I figure out. I'm gonna be okay, and I know where the food is and I can take care of myself... but don't get hurt, okay? I'll find you! I can do it. Then Gantz can take us back home and we can stop the monsters from hurt any more people!

[... A pause.]

I love you, dad! I'll definitely see you soon.

[He can only hope soon. His dad is Muscle Rider, so it's gotta be soon...

Muscle Rider never fails him.

Whelp, time to keep searching. Maybe even make himself a sandwich messily.]

I'm calm! [He speaks it a little too excitedly, cheeks flushing. Oh, maybe he shouldn't talk so loud to this poor little device.] I'm not scared, either. My name's Takeshi.

[Maybe he shouldn't tell her his name, but... if she tried anything, he'd just fight her off. She seemed like a normal person, though. So he hopes so.]

I'm not worried about getting hurt, either; I just have to be very careful here.

[He remembers when that sphere shot through his shoulder like a bullet. He didn't wanna deal with any pain like that, not unless he could help it.]

How careful? [ A beat--Chase is unused to speaking to children her age, so she tries not to come across as demanding even though she...well, kind of is. ]

What does a boy like you have to be careful about?

Lots of things. Home is in very, very, very big trouble right now, and even if it's not in big trouble, sometimes we are, 'cuz we get sent places with really bad monsters.

I fought some...

[A pause.]

They're scary.

[Written responses are preferable these days, and Bran starts on one... but then changes his mind, and replies quietly by voice instead:]

We were not transferred. We were--all of us--brought here, aboard this ship.

But if we weren't transferred, how'd we get here?

Cuz... I don't live in a big metal ship. I learn on Earth. Like the planet. I mean... I live in Japan, and that's still on Earth.

We were brought here. Perhaps it was a sort of transfer. But we do not know very much about how it happens, though it has been happening for some time now.

Do they have ships such as this, where you are from?

I think it is a transfer... I get transferred to places sometimes! It zaps us, and we go where it wants us to go...

[Makes sense in his mind. Of course it does.]

We don't have ships, but aliens do. Lots of aliens do; I saw 'em, too.

What is it that zaps you? [A pause, and he adds, curiously:] And what is an alien?

It's a light! The man in the ball makes a light, and it makes people disappear and go somewhere else. I dunno how it does that; maybe it's magic.

Aliens are the bad guys. They're from space and they come down and hurt us.

[Despite him slowly getting used to death, thinking about the last situation at home makes him uncomfortable.]

Lots of people died.

[This is a kid who's grown up around the worst mouths--things got him in trouble back home, but this was not one of those things. And has lived a lot more cussing in the last few missions than needed. No one's bothered enforcing a 'no cursing' rule around him when they;re too busy panicking. Considering how Kaze is, even dad probably didn't even give a damn.

Still... that's not a good reply, he knows.

Maybe he's not using the phone right...?]

Oh. [That makes plenty of Since. Lad. Laaaad. Gotta keep that one in mind.] Mister Frodo, aliens are... bad. They look like monsters, a lot. But one time they looked like people.

They keep trying to hurt us, so me and my team fight them away.

I'm not good at fighting with guns and big swords like the others are... I think they won't let me anyway...

Kaze!! That's his normal name. He's also a hero called Muscle Rider! He saves me from monsters and fights off the aliens and stuff.
