[ it's obvious this is going to be a serious post just from the look on robb's face. this is the king in the north, drawn up ice cold and stone-faced on the screen and there's nothing of the boy in his face. the direwolf at his side is a hulking mass of fur, teeth bared and eyes gleaming and no, this is not meant to be a light-hearted post. ]

Upon this ship there is a woman called Cersei Lannister, who arrived most recently. In Westeros, she dealt my house a great and terrible injury, and the matter must be settled, for it cannot be ignored. If she hears this, then I call her to treat with me, and submit herself for judgement for her crimes.

[ and grey wind snarls, ears set back and hackles raised, just as robb cuts the feed. ]

[ he clarifies with a slight adjustment. it's not usual; he doesn't like his full name but it seems appropriate. something that you offer to a king, proper for a hero. ] I said it and I meant it. In Westeros, those who swear their loyalty to a lord offer him their banner as a symbol of their promise, their oath to act in preservation of his name and his house and his cause until the day of their death.

[ binding, binding, binding. robb sometimes wonder if they realize just how much. ]

And in accepting it, so do I swear to protect and avenge all wrongs against you and yours, Perseus, in return for the loyalty you have placed in me.

A symbol. [ it should pop to mind immediately because every demigod cabin has a purpose, a sign or a statue. when they're claimed what their parents are known for usually pops up glowing above their heads. but Jackson doesn't have any representation for its house besides blue. Poseidon, though, or maybe Neptune (to be accurate), hm. he draws up the sleeve opposite of his 007 » 019 markings. shows off something similar to this. the letters SPQR framed above a trident and a solitary score mark below it. ] How about a trident? If you need me, all you'd have to do is send for me by raven with this mark.

he has a feeling that a raven might be more reliable. if someone finds the letter, it's just the mark of Poseidon. it doesn't tell them anything. except who the message was intended for. ] But just so we're clear, you never needed my banner to ask for a helping hand before. I would have come to you.
