[Which is half a lie, seeing as Anders spent far more time, years on end, in the Circle Tower at Lake Calenhad; his time in Amaranthine spanned mere months. But Alistair wouldn't encounter a certain young mage until 9:31 Dragon, and even then only briefly, the king supporting the Warden-Commander's right to conscript said mage.

More importantly, he won't have heard of a certain catastrophe in the city of Kirkwall, around 9:37. And that is what really counts.]

I have yet to meet him, but the general consensus is that we are all to remain here indefinitely, regardless of our wishes.
