Hi. [She waves at the camera.] Me again. Two questions:

One, does anybody know how to use a taser? If so, mind giving me some lessons? I could have asked the girl who gave it to me, but I wasn't thinking at the moment. In fact, what about self-defense classes? I get the feeling that not everything comes in peace here.

[Please don't tell her about any butt-probing horror stories.]

Two, I'm dying of boredom. No, pretending didn't work so don't ask. I didn't think I would ever say this, but I'm looking for one of the jobs here. While I am an artist, I did minor in computer science. I know how to write programs, troubleshoot, so on and so forth. [She left out the part about knowing how to hack.] There has to be some computer thing I can do on the spaceship before I lose my mind.

I'm not sure exactly what a taser it, but if it is like some sort of electric device, then I have experience with such things. My weapon is electric-based and I have made an effort to be very efficient with it.

Well, a taser is electric. [She holds it up, but doesn't press the button.] So I think the learning curve won't be too steep for you.

It appears more compact. [ Quite interesting actually. She's leaning to see it more clearly. ] I would be able to show you how I wield my own and perhaps you would translate it to your own needs. I'm sure the concepts are relatively similar.

I'm not too sure I can translate it so easily. I'm pretty useless in a fight so I really need to start from the beginning with this.

Also, you can think about working with the communications department. I'm thinking about it to keep busy.

I don't know if I really have the time for something more formal right now, but I'm in the gym a lot. If you ever spot me there, I'd be happy to show you a few things. I'm not an expert, by any means, but.

You're a cop. You're automatically better than me.

I can show you the basics of taser use, and some tips for getting away from attackers, at least. More complicated than that, and you'll probably have to find someone with more specialized training.

That's pretty much what I wanted to know. Especially since I don't really know anything at all.
