I don't have any sort of supernatural abilities or skills. I've got excellent aim with a handgun, but hopefully that's not something that'll need to be called upon here.

I don't see the lack of supernatural abilities as any handicap; police work, after all, isn't about who can "beat up" whom. Are you comfortable patrolling?

Absolutely. I've got the layout of parts of the ship down pretty well, and the rest will just come with time, I imagine. Patrolling won't be an issue.
