[ caroline's more than a little bit alarmed and she just got a goodbye message from elena, sort of. so cue a desperate friend pleading to the network after watching all the messages from people trapped in the bridge.]

Can't anyone do something? They're dying in there. The jump is soon and if they're trapped... [ they're going to die. like actually die.] Please there has to be something we can do.

All non-essential personnel are ordered away from the doors outside the bridge. Security will be using force to subdue and remove anyone who does not comply with this order. Please use this time to gather your things and proceed to the stasis pods for the Jump.

[ The image on the screen is fragmented, static snapping across the screen. It distorts his words, distorts the image, but Nathan is recording his piece as though there’s nothing wrong with the recording. He looks tired, drained, recording this message from the Captain’s chair on the bridge. The bridge behind him is dark, there’s the odd sign of movement.

Others have recorded their messages, and there still may be some activity on the network, but Nathan won't be back online to see it. The last thing he wants is to spent his last hours watching for those few moments the static breaks, and a frightened message manages to come through. But a parting message is his prerogative, so several hours before the jump he records this--and then he sends it several times and just hopes that it gets through.

I have long considered what wold the best way to make my first attempt to communicate through this thing would be. I didn't want to emulate the other new arrivals complaining about this unfair situation, although there is nothing wrong with complaining. I've spent all this time researching whatever information about this place, as well the technological improvements from over the next century after the one I'm originally am, but in the end...

[ You can almost see her huffing. ]

Well, other than a bunch of useless pop culture information, I can't say I'm anywhere closer to figure out this ship. So I guess, I guess I'm complaining after all. For the first time in my life I had the freedom and the means to do something I wanted, and here I am, locked up in a chunk of metal traveling through space, freezing my bones because the ship is, apparently, haunted.

[ A beat. ]

I just wanted to get that out of my chest, I apologize. At any rate, my name is Elizabeth, if there is anything I can do to help, please let me know.
