Indeed he did. I'm sorry he's been vocal. He's gotten more active, these past months, but this is different. I have to consider the possibility that whatever brought us here, something might have happened to jar him loose. Looser.

Please understand he's got no designs on anyone whatsoever, not like this bit of friend fiction has it sounding. Someone I used to know wrote this sort of thing all the time, and that's what she called it, friend fiction. Always thought she invented the concept.

[Justice's cool, flat, unemotional description of Garrett has not made Anders happy. Well, first it made Anders chuckle and wish he could tell Garrett about it, so they could laugh over it together, mage robes as dresses, Garrett being his wife. He's not sure when he'll ever lose that habit. It's automatic, wanting to tell Garrett about whatever. Then he remembered he'd never get to do that again, and it has nothing to do with the ship or the Void or being here, and everything to do with sacrifice. A necessary sacrifice, absolutely, but Justice doesn't need to sound so ... indifferent. As if Justice really doesn't understand or care that something important ended.

So Anders feels a little rebellious.]

It isn't foolishness to connect with another person. Justice sees it as self-indulgence, but Justice isn't human.
