So, we all know that there's something fishy going on here by now.

But I think -- and don't shoot the skeptic here, because it seems we can't afford to have any men down -- that if there is going to be a threat, we want everyone to be capable of keeping in touch.

No man left behind, as it were.

To that end, if there are any people experiencing difficulties using their communicators, I'd be happy to help.

[A team is only as strong as its weakest member, right? You never knew when even someone who'd previously seemed useless would come through at an unexpected moment.

She brings the video a little closer to her face.]

[ "Get to the other parts of the ship..." That is what the instructions with the map also said. After the rat managed to enlarge the text on the screen of the tiny box. It said that different coloured lines on the map represented something called "lifts" and that they would lead to other areas. But so far, everything they encountered was in shades of blue, white, black and grey. As too was this box they were standing in. No wonder they weren't able to find their way. The map had lied. ]

This is what you call a "lift" then?

[She nods.]

Yes, that's right. Not everyone has access to all of the elevators, though.

[It's not too long a ride up to the floor where the rooms were located. She steps out and motions for them to do the same.]

[ The rat scurries out first. Bony hindpaws tapping against the floor. It gives a tentative sniff before its whiskers twitch. There are living things on this floor. Lots of them. Pretty close too. ]

[ Death steps out and silently makes the same assessment. Yes, these "lifts" will make things so much easier now. ]

This is the main living area. You should have a room up here, if you take a look at your tattoo.

[She's ... not sure which one of them have it, though, or where.]

[ Death tugs the end of his left sleeve back to look at his arm where bits of black? Or are they grey? They have his glow though so are the blue? Are in a constant rumba over invisible skin. Floating just barely over his bones. Only coalescing into the number he remembers when he gazes upon them. ]

[ The nanites form the numbers 002 » 080. ]

You mean this?

Yes, that's the one. The number will coincide with a room.

[She pauses.]

...so, do you think you'll be a little more -- mobile now?

[reaperman]

[ Death nods. Surveying the corridors and spotting numbers on doors. ]

Yes.

[ He turns to her. ]

[She waves a hand toward the rooms.]

[ There was a slight tug at the bottom of her suit. ]

Squeek.

[ The Death of Rats looked up at her, holding the comm device in both its bony paws. ]

O-oh that would be great

[Oh. She blinks, bending down to the rat.]

Right, the communicator. You wanted to figure out how to send messages to everyone, right?

[reaperman]

[ A nod and a Squeak. ]

[ The Death of Rats grinned. ]

[She drops down to her knees so she can show him the screen of her device.]

Here, let me show you.

[And she goes on to list off the steps to making basic posts, and how to lock them at the most basic level.]

[ After the final taps on the screen, the rat locks the device then unlocks it again. Letting out a Squeak in approval. It looks up at Tali and raises a forepaw. ]

Squeak.

[ The rat grinned up at her again. ]

[And Tali just looks ... mildly amused behind her mask.]

[ The Death of Rats nods. ]

Squeak.

[ Whatever it learned would do for now. More questions could always merit a personal appearance again. ]

[ The Death of Rats scurried back into the robes of Death, not taking its snout off the screen of the comm device. It climbed up bony legs until it emerged from a hint of collar and took its perch once more on Death's shoulder. Death nodded. ]
