But I think -- and don't shoot the skeptic here, because it seems we can't afford to have any men down -- that if there is going to be a threat, we want everyone to be capable of keeping in touch.

It ended up being a lot more complicated than that, of course.

...well, when I ran into Shepard, I had information that she needed on that particular rogue. She -- saved my life.

[She shakes her head.]

I was young and stupid. I thought I could trade information with dangerous people. It was -- ill-advised. I ended up with a suit puncture and a nasty infection.

Mr. Stark experienced a life changing event similarly, in that his life was saved by another.

[ Not the same circumstances, but he understands the concept the appropriate level of gratitude inherent. ]

Infection - your suit it to protect from weakened immunity with distance from your home planet, then?

As far as I know, our immune systems were never great to begin with. Rannoch didn't have many infections that were harmful. Most of them were mutually beneficial.
