Alright everyone calm the fuck down.

[easier said than done, but the command (military, a bellow without being a bellow) with which Jason says it over the network might (he hopes) be enough to get the attention of at least a couple of people.]

The ship has been hit with a batch of Fear Toxin. [he drawls it, irritation, and a very clear I'm looking at you Scarecrow.] Don't ask how it got there because we don't know yet, but it's concentrated around the Oxygen Garden. Basically this means we've got people hallucinating and attacking each other because they're scared out of their minds and if we don't get control of it sooner rather than later someone's gonna die. If you've got a gas mask or a rebreather, you might wanna put that baby on.


So- [you can practically hear the gesticulation in his voice, despite there being no video] Titans Assemble or whatever.

[She finally laughs, for the first time in hours, and a little bit of the tension leaves her when she does. She needed that and she'll probably always hold a nice little mushy place in her heart for him for being the cause.]

I can't really see you being the type to carry me all bridal style through the hallways. Just dump me in a corner and send someone back for me when everything's calmed down, huh?

I'd probably throw you over my shoulder, at least I have one hand free, then.

[and lets be honest, one hand is all he needs. (aw yiss)

he takes a moment here to glance down at the network, following communications and what's going on between the Titans that are meant to join them.]

And then I'd dump you when you got in the way.

[he flashes a smirk over his communicator at her.]

Harper's on his way. [a beat] What are you guys calling him?

You're just so chivalrous, I love it.

[She's grinning until he mentions Roy, and then it starts to turn into something of a scowl. Great, her favorite person ever and now they have to team up. But there's an opening there and she just has to take it.]

Speedy. We call him Speedy.

[he looks at her, then, a little suspicious as to how quickly she answered. it doesn't sound exactly incorrect, and he's half certain he's actually heard the name before. a hero in another city that he hadn't spoken to personally, but might have heard Bruce mention.

well, if it wasn't, he would be corrected, so he shrugs]

Speedy it is.

I'm just gonna go ahead and put it out there so it's not a surprise or anything if he shows up and starts acting like an ass, but we don't have the best relationship and he might call me names. We'll see.

[Not that she'll let it affect the mission. Well, much anyway. She's sure Roy will get up in her face and be all creepy and a stalker and really, that's not what they need right now. They need three people working together and she refuses to be the weak link in the chain.]

[he says, before his gaze cuts over her shoulder.]
