I'm reporting on the results of the Jump clock project. I won't recap the details there.

These reports will be ongoing. I strongly advise that the next time anyone debarks, make an effort to estimate the time that's transpired since our stop on Arima.

Analyses and interpretations are welcome. Please be aware that our efforts at external videography failed. Basically, the Jump movement destroyed the equipment. I'll update about the trans-hull cartography project when there's something to update about. A bunch of weird and context-free numbers counts as 'something.'

I would like to commission timekeeping devices not linked to the native system as well, in the time between now and Van Rijn destroying us. Anyone up for it?

It might be worth noting that the only abilities I possess that have been tampered with since I arrived on the ship are those that relate to time and space.

What kind of tampering?

Difficulties I wouldn't experience were I not on this ship, rendering those abilities essentially useless.

Have you been able to use those abilities even once to any kind of extent since you first arrived here? Have you had any opportunity to leave the ship?

[milagros]

I made attempts, recorded what happened (they are effectively unusable), and have refrained since then for reasons of safety and health. I've not left the ship, nor had the opportunity to do so.

Any guesses as to what the problem is?

It's my understanding that I'm not the only person whose abilities aren't what they should be, here. I can only assume it's a direct result of being on the ship, and it is a remarkably specific difficulty to come across. My guess would be that something or someone has a vested interest in keeping us in the dark and out of control.

Maybe you could come with us on the shuttle when we fly Lydia out, or accompany me for a spacewalk and see if that changes anything.

The process of your first Jump might also have scrambled or permanently damaged your abilities somehow, I guess. I think I've heard of other people being different than how they used to. But it could be worth a shot.

I'm not unwilling, but the shuttle is likely a better idea than the space walk if we're going to experiment that way. The side-effects I experience since arrival here include migraine symptoms and losing time - effectively blacking out - and I don't think a space walk would end well if being outside the ship doesn't impact it.

OK. I'll speak to CFO Wash about getting you a seat in the shuttle. It shouldn't be a problem, and I'll keep in mind those problems.

Are you aware of any kind of drugs or other remedies that we could bring with us, in case you have an attack?

[milagros]

If you can put your hands on something to block out light and sound, I'll need either somewhere to lie down or someone to keep me from falling.

Will you settle for earplugs and a blindfold if I can't find anything prettier?

The other assist won't be a problem.

It'll do in a pinch if needs must. Let me know when you need me and I'll make myself available.
