[Have one Jane, wearing a much too big shirt, and on someone's bed. Nothing too risque, but she definitely looks like she is wearing her boyfriend's shirt.]

Um. Yeah, hi. Just thought I should let the ship know I'm okay and that I'm sorry to be one of the causes of all the upset and chaos.

Hey, don't even worry - you're not the one that caused the chaos, that Mastermind guy is responsible.

How're you doing? [ the smirk widens a bit, ] Thor taking good care of you?

[Jane will just tuck her hair behind her ear and arch her eyebrow right back at you, Darcy.]

Of course Thor's taking good care of me. Why do you ask?

[ what's been going down, who's been going down, does it matter? ]

I missed most of what happened before his announcement; who was he?

[ oooh gurrrrrrl. ] No reason. [ this is her face. ] Just that he should.

... You're all right! [Stats is overjoyed. He hasn't seen Jane in he didn't remember how long, and she is back!]

I'm better now that I'm not covered in blood.

[statsraaden]

... covered in blood? [Stats is suddenly worried.] What happened?

Yes. It was Megamind's blood. That's pretty much all I remember.

[statsraaden]

[Ew.]

Good thing it wasn't yours but... a pity he was injured.

[lavender blood, even.]

There could have been other ways of taking him down. Tasers work well, I'm told.

[statsraaden]

Tasers? [Stats has never heard of tasers.]

Devices that produce electric shocks. They're very useful for subduing out of control people. [Darcy is an expert at them

[statsraaden]

[Electric shocks? Ouch. Better than bullets, though. Stats winces briefly.]

And... we don't have them?

Only one, I think. I doubt Darcy would give it up willingly, though. But still, they're much better than shooting people. Dying from one is much more rare than from guns.

[statsraaden]

A pity we don't have more. And a pity I don't know enough to help make more.

We can make more, right? [Stats gives a hopeful look.]

[she shakes her head]

We don't have the right kind of supplies for them.

[statsraaden]

[Frustrated sigh.]

And I suppose we have to get them from outside, and the crew won't.

That sounds about right.

[statsraaden]

[Sigh. Stats shakes his head and pinches the bridge of his nose in frustration.] Looks like we're sunk.

Not yet. [jane sees your frustration, but honestly, it's just a small thing.]

[statsraaden]

Really. [Stats doesn't quite believe it.]

If I can build my data collector, surely we'll figure out other things.

As far as I can understand it, Ms. Foster, you weren't the one behind it all.

[ He thinks he recognizes that shirt. And he wants to scowl, and he wants to roll his eyes (apologizing for something that wasn't her fault, being all good and humble and shit, it's no wonder she and Thor get along, like birds of a feather) but he smiles instead. It's not all that comforting. ]

I heard you got into a bit of trouble, Miss Foster. Are you sure you're well?

A bit of trouble is putting it lightly. [she tucks a piece of hair behind her ear]

[ well. he's just going to come fit himself behind her once she's done. not meaning to be overbearing but slightly protective. on the defensive and not wanting her to get too far for a bit. ] That is not something you should be apologizing for, Jane.

[she's really not going to complain, too much. He's comforting. She leans back into him, head resting on his shoulder.]

Still. He wanted what I know, and was going to endanger others over it.

[ his lips just pull into a frown. to put it mildly, he's still pretty pissed about the whole thing and wished he could have done more damage. ] It is not your fault. He should be held accountable for his actions and does not need anyone to apologize for what he has done.

[Jane presses her lips together, then sighs.]

If you say so. I don't like being used, but that doesn't mean he should have to suffer more than he already has. I think being shot is enough punishment.

[ oh jane. HAHAHFSLKDFJ this is not going so well. thor can feel his temper begin to rise. heat pooling low in his belly and working it's way through his veins. he doesn't want to get mad. and he shouldn't, but it's thor and. well. hafljsf ]

He has barely suffered enough. Something so small hardly counts as punishment at all.

[oh dear, and Jane hasn't seen him like this before. She has no idea how to act, other than just look at him, and rest her hand on his arm, but she asks something that she could not help]

But why? Why are you so upset? I don't understand. I wasn't hurt, just scared.

[ well congratulations, jane. you're seeing the real thor. he should probably try a little harder to calm down, but he can't. there's been far too much going on that he hasn't officially dealt with and he's feeling far too restricted in this place. thor isn't sure what the difference is from here where he has limited power and when he was on midgard with no power—but it's driving him mad.

this isn't jane's fault. not remotely. he doesn't understand why in the world she would make an apology for that frost midget. or, well, whatever the hell he is. his gaze drops to her hand, brows knit in frustration and lips in a slight scowl before he finally responds. voice tight and fire licking at the heels of his words. ]

Should I not be upset that this lunatic decided it was alright to hold you hostage? He should consider himself lucky you were not hurt—no one could have kept him safe. I do not understand why you feel responsible enough to apologize for someone so worthless.

[Jane sighs, rubbing her head. This was out of her depth, soothing him and not making this disaster worse, yet still showing him her point. Why didn't they teach a class in school for this? Into the breech, Jane, shall we? Jane turns around, arms wrapping around Thor's neck.]

I did not say you were not to be upset, Thor. I just said I think he paid enough for his crimes. If he did hurt me more, then yes, I can see him being punished more. But all he did was scare me. The worst thing happened after he was shot, and I woke up, in his blood, Thor. Now. I think that's pretty bad, waking up covered in blood, alien blood even. But, I'm fine, and I think he is lucky it wasn't worse. I don't want you hurting someone for me, Thor.

[odinsons]

[ he doesn't understand this sort of thing. and he's really, really trying to listen to what jane's saying and, you know, heed them. but he's not. he's not because that isn't how things work for him. thor is more used to the women falling all over themselves for a man to protect them, end and punish a nefarious evil-doer. so, it doesn't quite fit why jane wouldn't want that. he's not particularly mad about it, but it confuses him so that just furthers along the angry feelings. so he doesn't really move when she turns to him, knows he should hold her, but he can't. ]

I do not understand. None of it. Why would you not want that?

[anomaliiiiies]

[Oh god, how to explain. her arms drop down, and she moves away, looking embarrassed and hurt. She wraps her arms around herself, and perches on the corner of the bed.]

It's like the cup thing. We don't smash them to the ground to ask for more. It isn't done, and neither is hurting someone any more than necessary to defend another person.
