So, the Tranquility.

I like to think I'm a pretty go-with-the-flow kinda girl, but after arriving in a tube of blue goo, immediately having my best friend and guide kidnapped, and then faced with ship mutiny and general chaos, I just have one question.

[ the hand stops drumming and she looks directly into the feed, lowering her glasses a little bit. ]

Who the fuck named this ship?

[ she's about to turn off the feed, when she pauses. ]

Also, just for future reference, is it always this definitely-not-tranquil?

There was something found by another one of us that said the year is 938 After Earth.

Oh. Good. So we're some unknown years in the future, on a ship going somewhere, on a mission determined to be not-Tranquil. Excellent.

Try not to make a habit of it, though. After jump checkups are excluded from that, of course. The jumps are very difficult on human bodies.

I can't imagine why. I'd think being stuck in a tube of goo with a breathing tube shoved down your throat would be the future's idea of a spa day.

But don't worry, I have zero plans to need to be stitched up or anything. I just happen to have friends that find themselves in the middle of trouble.

Most people don't have plans of needing to be stitched up. But it is wise to be prepared, especially in a place like this.
