[The feed clicks on and Caprica looks thoughtful as she twirls a lock of hair around her fingers.]
I miss the smell of the sea, the call of the birds. There was a place, back home, where I liked to go and just watch the water. It was my favorite place on the planet, and sometimes I would spend all day there, just listening and smelling and watching.
It's gone now, though. [A brief flicker of her eyes indicates this sadness, but it's gone in moments. There is much guilt to be had, here.]
Things like the scent of fresh water are thingsI took for granted. [Her eyes harden.] No more. I, like you, tire of the endlessness of space and desire for something more tangible than a bunk and random jumps to coordinates unknown to us.
[This is more the case than some may realize.]
I yearn for a solid place to put my feet -- grass to walk on instead of cold, hard metal. I, like the rest of you, would do nearly anything to breath fresh air again, taste the rain, and see the forests for their true beauty. [She projects nearly everywhere she goes in this ship. How else does one stay sane?]
I must ask -- are you all...content with this? This...sedentary and perpetual state of kidnapping? I'm interested if anyone would rather be here than anywhere else, and your reasons why. [She smiles.] Color me curious.
