Third Summons: Text | Hell and a tech question

I have some questions.

Does your world have some version of Hell or a place of punishment after death? How do you end up there? Do you even believe in it? Would you send someone there if the price was going there yourself when you died?


Also would someone be able to show me how to use the holodecks on the ship here? I'm not sure if I'm doing it right.

Lucifer up and closed it to go run a piano bar in LA. And then the dead all wound up back on Earth and every pantheon was fighting over the place. In the end it wound up under Heaven's management.

Was he punished for leaving?

Not as such. But he never did get that quiet life he went looking for.

He wanted a quiet life?

He did. I think he grew tired of ruling Hell for so long.

Wouldn't the ruler of Hell enjoy it? And why should he get a quiet life?

You'd think that. SOme people don't do well working the same job for a long time though.

Some people have no choice.

[If she ran away from her job it would be straight to Hell for her. She dislikes this Lucifer on principle now.]

They should have confined him back to Hell for trying to leave.

Wouldn't dying just send you there?

Sometimes. But only if you were wicked in life. At least in my world. And you can be sent there anytime if someone strikes a deal to do so. Of course that means when they die, they will also go there, no matter what the rest of their life's actions are.

Why would you want to strike a deal to go to hell?

They don't. They simply want revenge. But it has a price. One that many people are still willing to pay.

If someone's in hell that should be punishment enough. Like souls get tortured or something.

A curse digs two graves. If you make a deal to send someone to Hell before their time, you have to be willing to pay with your soul when you die.

I can't think of anyone that would be willing to do that. Or would they just expect it wouldn't happen? Like they don't believe it really would.

No. They know and most of them believe. They either believe in getting revenge, no matter what the cost. Or believe there is no other way for them to go on.

People have been making these deals for over 400 years.

There has to be some other way. Revenge and going to hell doesn't help anything.

No. It is a never ending cycle. But others do not know this, or realize it too late.

Desperate people will turn to any scrap of hope. No matter the price. And some of them judge the price worth it. There are many reasons why people would wish someone away to Hell.

Wishing it and actually doing it are different.

Why doesn't anyone stop them?
