[ She seems uncertain, at the use of the device which records her, peering a little too close, before pulling back. Trying her best to be at ease, even if she clearly is not completely. ]
Forgive me, fellow passengers of the tranquility, which I am told is a ship, though it is not one I should ever seek to employ --
[ but that is a rant for later, and she dismisses it quickly. ] -- I have been remiss in introducing myself, quite rightly I was not sure how to do so. But this seems the way of it, so I understand it. Though I am alone neither in name nor face. [ her amusement is brittle at best for it. ] I am Elizabeth Tudor, granddaughter to Elizabeth of York, and great-granddaughter to Elizabeth Woodville.
[ and she puffs out of breath in dry laughter. ] And by more time than is flattering to count such, Queen of England in turn. [ there's a pause and the propriety of it all seems to drop, introduction done. ]
Now that is out of the way, the matter that is far more important, what must be done to procure a decent drink on this twice cursed place? Or indeed how to pass the time at all, if my skills may be put to use, though I scarcely know where to apply them here. [ and that, truly seems to amuse her, quite darkly in fact. ] In any case, you shall find me a generous friend.

not that she's too terribly concerned, frankly, but it pays not to get off on the wrong foot with people, and to avoid that you have to have a fairly good idea of both where you've already put your feet and where you might like to have them later. definitely 'still attached', for instance. )
Most of the passenger decks have bars, but I think only a few of them are particularly populated. And... 'decent' might be pushing it unless you can persuade somebody with a stash.

I have little enough to offer, but what do people have that counts as - ah, "stash" was it?

The timelines here can be quite confusing, can they not, Your Majesty?
Bars with an assortment of liquor can be found on many of the passenger decks. As to your skills, if I may be so bold as to suggest you must have a great deal of experience coordinating human activities, the Communications department may be a wise destination.
[Because that's his thing and why he watches for people looking to use skills on the network.]

[ she's amused by it, better to be flattered than put off by it. ]
Your suggestion is a welcome one, one I shall consider most carefully. [ there's a ponderous hum before she continues. ] Are the people here agreeable to being organised?
[ or is it more like Ireland. But he seems clever enough to be able to guage well. ]

Tudor's heritage is not lost on him though and he is very aware of some potential for friction there. Perhaps it isn't ideal to be dating a queen's grandmother. Luckily or unluckily, Cesare has never been the type to avoid anything difficult and as such he meets her with a video of him and three bottles of wine that he had lovingly procured from one of the bars a few days prior. The best of the best if he does say so himself.]
Sweet or dry?
Video.
But for his offer, he receive a smile, brilliant and sharp before she dips her head, as if in thanks to him. ]
Sweet, if I may. I have always had a preferences for such things.

( he's met kings and queens before. loads of times. but on creepy spaceships in the future? that's new. and then he realises that he said that aloud and that it is broadcasting or recording or making a phone call or however these things work (he was just messing around with his), and hastily: )
I mean, cheers. It's nice to meet you. Hello.

Good Queen Bess, huh? Nice to meet you. Peter Quill of- [ He almost said "Earth;" he's been spending waaaay too much time in space. ]
Colorado. Though I think it's roughly unexplored Spanish territory in your time, if I remember my elementary school social studies. [ At which point, he's rambling. ]
As for keeping occupied, it looks like most people pitch in with running the ship- medical, security, communications. That sorta thing.

Tell me of them? What they entail? [ and the simple expectation that he will, of course. ]

video;
Am I allowed to ask the Queen of England to clarify? 'Cos there are some decent drinks out there, but I have to know what sort you prefer before I offer any of 'em to you.
video;
I suppose you are allowed to ask. [ she's teasing, mostly. ] Sweet, and rich.

That was quite the introduction! I believe the three of us may be well on our way to confusing those aboard this ship.
[ since her arrival, she has only seen people drink socially. and she, herself has only partaken of it in such a manner. instead of being scandalized, she errs on the sensible side and tells her plainly: ]
Each floor has what is called a "bar", where wine and other liquor might be found. Shall I show you? then we may speak more of finding aught to do in this place. I, myself often have a similar problem.
video;
I should hope so, else I might grow bored.
[ Your granddaughter it seems, is a rather blunt creature. ] I should like that, it seems a better way to pass the time than sitting idle.

Your Grace, [ Because she totally read all the public threads above before beginning a message. ] my name is Kate Bishop, and I just wanted to say that it is a privilege to meet you. As much as this sort of communication counts as meeting.
I see that people have already directed you to the alcohol on board, but if there's anything else I could help you with, please don't hesitate to ask. [ Not that a queen is likely to balk at telling people what she wants but whatever. ]
video;
[ She smiles again, taps her finger to her lips in contemplation. ] Yes, there is one thing you may tell me yet, what it is that passes for recreation aboard the ship? For even in winter court will occupy itself, but I cannot decipher what tasks it is people do here.
[ or is it always blood and this stupor afterwards. ]

video;
[ That leaves a confused look for a moment on her face. Time is the strangest thing in this place indeed. ]
I ask of curiosity, hoping not to offend: is it common for names to be passed on from mother to daughter, or from father to son, where you are from, in such a way as yours?
video;
[ she dips her head in turn with the greeting. If she is given courtesy, she shall always return it. ] Then I hope they told you all the best things, and not just that it has miserable weather.
[ but the question makes her laugh, she had been waiting for someone to say something of it. ] Confusing is it not? [ her laughter dies down, waving the thought of offense over it away. ] And yes, it is quite common for names to be passed down, both my grandmother's were Elizabeth, and so I was given the name. For rulers in particular, though that was never the intention with me. We keep the same names, I am told, because it gives a feeling of a ruler without end, and that the memories of the ones previous, may live through the actions of the current.
[ and then she tilts her head to the side, thinking further. ] Or we may just be finding reason to hide such infinitely lacking creativity when it comes to naming our children, but never tell a King that.

Many, I should wager, and not many of them particularly useful, other than exceeding patience. [ there's a sigh. ] Truth be told, as much as the tasks have been described to me, I do not know well what is required so much here, that I may suit myself to that task.

But she watches him, bemused by it all, lips parting in a slow smile. ]
Bold. [ but she does not seem to mind, he's the first man to offer her so much as that, and for it, she dips her head low. ] And tell me, what is the preferred drink to be had there?
