( nuala isn't often in the room given to her by the tranquility - so rarely, in fact, she hasn't been there since that very first broadcast that brought her to the ship's wider attention. she's there now, though, her hair still damp but tied low at the back of her neck, pulled out of her way, dressed in a simple gown of pale blue.

it's a bit more rumpled than she usually appears, but then, she's not alone, either. the beast periodically visible in the background of this broadcast may explain the slightly rueful pleasantness of her expression, and the fact she hasn't even bothered trying to straighten fabric she knows is likely to just get rumpled again the second her new friend decides she hasn't been paying enough attention to him (eg ALL OF HER ATTENTION). )

This fine gentleman's demeanor leads me to believe that he expects particular companionship. If that companionship is yours, you may collect him from the room number listed in this broadcast within the next hour, or from the elven flets any time after that.

( very matter of fact. she'd probably rather just keep him outright, to be honest, but she knows better than to assume there's no one for him here. )

Not in precisely the way you mean, but in days past - before our seclusion became so severe - I had many such companions. Beautiful animals.

He is not quite as anything I've seen before. ( which is an achievement, considering her age and how she's lived, really. ) But in a general sense, I should say, certainly he's familiar.

Where they all.. underground with you?

Oftentimes, in the earliest years.

Later, of course-- we were not always below ground.

( a shrug. )

So they were in the woods with me.

( hence her easy confidence about the flets, though if she does become obliged to keep his company, perhaps it will be necessary to relocate herself to a singular abode if for no other reason than that he is very large. )

You're making it sound like a Disney movie. [ he's teasing, really he is. ]

( smiling, but a bit bemused-- ) I'm afraid I don't know the reference.

Disney, it's- they're a company that makes kids movies. There's usually talking animals and princesses singing along with birds in the woods. Lot more to 'em than that, but all the older ones had a princess who usually had some kind of sidekick. And if she didn't, she just got along with more animals than people.
