There are now three flets, which pass as treehouses, in the gardens. These are homes and if anyone is seen nearing them to gain access, they will be shot on sight. I assure you, an arrow is far more difficult to extract than a bullet. [ #EXPERIENCE, urgh. ] Additionally, you will find the Elven quotient aboard the ship is now officially in charge of garden-based security.

That means we need not apologise if your actions force us to maim you.

Even a mortal life is not meaningless, Nuada, and that we are longer lived does not give us the right to end it.

Our enemy here is the same as theirs, and those who are cruel - and have been cruel - would treat them just as poorly.

They drove my people near to extinction, Tauriel, they forced my father into the sewers. If Thranduil requires a ring of the dead around him to stop them touching him in the same pawing manner, I shed no tears. There is no love lost for one or a thousand dead humans on my part, I have slain them in droves. Would that we didn't need them as a distraction and the self-same evil might cast them all into the nothingness beyond these walls so that I shouldn't suffer breathing the same air.

But I shan't waste arrows on those who heed my warnings because I am cruel, though not yet crazed.

[ His ire rises as he talks, finally snapping the latter statement with a brittle bitterness and shutting off the feed. Looks like Thranduil isn't the only elf working through his issues at the moment. ]

Think not you that Morgoth has his reasons, for doing what he does? Think not you that he believes himself wronged, in the past? That does not excuse the cruelty that he has bred, and the crimes of those mortals you have known will not excuse the same from you here.

[ Don't you even start with this, Nuada. She won't be a party to your hurting mortals just because you don't like them. That would make you no better than the enemy. ]
