[Abbie is adjusting her device so that the feed shows up clearly and so she isn't being filmed in a stilted manner. That would be annoying!]

Alright. Seems a little late to be using this, but better now than never.

[She brushes some of her hair behind her ear and takes a deep breath before continuing.]

Hi. [She gives a small shrug and a wave.] I'm Lieutenant Abigail Mills and I'm from Sleepy Hollow, New York. Call me Abbie if you want. Right now though, I'm currently with the SEC that's been established aboard here. I may not have any crazy powers or special abilities, being human and all, but I'd like to think I'm more than dependable when it comes to security matters.

Formal introductions aside, I gotta ask about the things people are seeing in the mirrors and about the people who were dreaming in their pods. I'm hearing things about beasts and warped edges and frankly, I'm more than a little concerned.

[There's a pause before she hesitantly adds:]

I've been there before, believe me. And that was before I woke up and found myself in space. There has to be a purpose and meaning behind them.

Someone or something is messing with people's heads this month; you can tell by the network messages made in the past few weeks. And my friend told me about the mirrors too, so I thought I might as well.

[invigor]

[but you must admit that it was pretty DeWITTY

Actually be glad that you even got something reminiscent to a joke in the first place. Jokes that aren't lined with sarcasm are rare. As proof, he's reverted back to his normal serious tone and expression.]

I've been tracking the network too. The whole thing with the mirrors is disturbing, but I don't see the link.

One thing I noticed is that it seems to happen if only one person is looking. Anyone who's mentioned them didn't say anything about seeing the mirrors go crazy while they were with someone else.

Think it means something, or just another way of this ship messing with our minds?

I'm hoping it's just the latter. There hasn't been a better description of anything else that could be lurking about.

Someone sent me footage of what it looked like when you're alone with a mirror. I thought I would see something familiar, but...

Getting nowhere fast. Just like this ship.

Yeah.

[Not exactly uplifting, but he kind of agrees.]

Wish I could help -- but my own experience with the weird and unusual is of a different kind, I'm sorry to say. I don't deal in spooky.

[Just warped and twisted alternate realities, you know.]

I'm in over my head when it comes to spooks. Not what I signed up for when I became an officer of the law.

Life loves to throw curveballs, don't it? But who knows, in the end, your experience might be helpful here -- so maybe you can temporarily count it as a blessing.

[She sighs lightly as she leans back in her seat, communicator in hand.]

I don't like being messed with though; when things aren't clear and there's no real rhyme or reason I mean. It's happened more than enough times to me.

Seems like it's gonna happen a few more times before all is said and done.
