Hate to break it to you sister, but VIs can crunch numbers just as good as AIs can. They just don't take it personally when you ask them to change the music in the cockpit.
It sounds like a person without a soul. Besides, AIs have feelings: the worry, they fret, they laugh, they can do everything that humans can. Minus the organic reactions to stimulus, and reproduction, of course.

You say that as if I haven't had to deal with them in my time. Then again, I don't understand civilians as much as I wish I could; I could argue it's the whole "human" thing.
